The placement is in Chiang Mai, at an internationally supported LGBTQ organization with widespread initiatives. They advocate inclusion; spread awareness; and organize testing and counseling at schools, bars, saunas, and spas. The NGO aims to increase acceptance by others, encourage safe sex practices, and even lessen the prevalence of teenage pregnancy. Become part of the organization’s office staff and assist with a range of activities including fundraising, marketing, and report writing. You will also develop their capacity by teaching local staff members English. You will also get the chance to observe HIV/STI testing, public health outreach, education, and other grassroots work within the LGBTQ community as well as with at-risk groups. This internship in Thailand requires writing skills and a grasp of English. You must have completed at least your first year at university on a relevant course or have some experience.
