Internships in New York

Overall, the experience was a 10 out of 10. The Intern Group supported me and guided me throughout the entire process. Not only did I gain practical experience through my internship, but the social and cultural activities they organized every weekend—such as museum visits, cruises, and trips to amusement parks—were also wonderful. It was a great opportunity to learn a lot while having a fun and enjoyable time with other interns in New York. The accommodation was also excellent. I stayed in a self-contained apartment, and the location was very convenient.

The Intern Group provided me with prestigious internships that significantly enhanced my journalism skills and elevated my CV. Living with other program participants fostered life-long friendships that I cherish. My experience was enlightening. I learnt a lot about my career field, working and myself. Apart from the invaluable experience I had working for my host organization, I learnt how to adapt to a different environment.

I had a fantastic time. Living situation could be improved, but all else was amazing. Arrival was easy and well organised and the work environment throughout the 6 weeks was amazing. Great team and interesting work.

Engaging in this experience truly allowed me to embrace life like never before. It opened my eyes to new possibilities and made me reflect deeply on my aspirations and goals for the future. I discovered a sense of purpose and clarity that I hadn't experienced in the past, which has inspired me to pursue my passions with newfound determination.

I had an overall enjoyable experience. Although there were some accommodation issues, they were promptly resolved by the Intern Group. Ultimately, it was a rewarding and enriching opportunity that I greatly valued.

This experience was a turning point in my life, pushing me to see the world through a fresh lens. It encouraged me to explore new opportunities and rethink my future ambitions. Along the way, I gained a clearer sense of purpose and direction, inspiring me to chase my passions with renewed focus and enthusiasm.

I enjoyed my internship and had a good time sightseeing in New York, especially because I was able to visit Washington DC for a conference with my internship company and meet and listen to Brazilian delegates discuss their knowledge on the topic of the RTM. I would do this again.

Had an amazing time, made lots of new friends and had some great experiences !! Plus I loved the internship I was on I learnt a lot from my mentor such as valuable skills that I will take forward into my future career.

I would say my experience of interning in New York would be best summarising as a time where I’ve learned the most in the shortest amount of time. Whilst there was all the things I literally learned through my internship about being in a different kind of workplace, new skills and other things. After living and interning in New York I would say being in that new environment and being thrown into the culture taught me so much about who I was, could be and to never limit where I can go. I’m grateful for the experience I had and if you have the opportunity to do an internship, do it! It is definitely worth it.

I chose a program having to do with an industry i had little to no experience in, but I feel that jump into the deep end allowed me to learn so much. I loved having a group of fellow interns to talk with along with being solo in my specific internship. I faced some challenges with my supervisor but ultimately feel those challenges were also only more lessons to be learned and brought with me in the future. In terms of career prep and experience I think I have learned and gained loads from the program. :)

Summer Internship in New York City from June to September 2024. Had a fantastic time gaining valuable work experience while also being able to explore and experience living one of the best cities in the world.

The experience was fun and formative! The company was great and supportive. Social life inside my building was great. Outdoor activities organized were amazing. I’ll always be grateful for the experience.

I have interned in New York. It was a transformational experience as I got to experience the Big Apple life and people. I loved the work and also the people I have met in the program. Our program leader, Brian, was very helpful in showing the city but also telling its secrets.

It was a good experience for getting an internship and also creating friendships. The accommodation location was good but the room is not the best (loud ac and thin wall). Depends on where you get placed.
