AIFS Abroad Internships in Madrid, Spain

I absolutely loved my internship! Fantastic place to study fashion. Lourdes is an amazing coordinator and made all of us feel super welcome and safe. My internship supervisor Edith was so incredible and I learned so much. Highly highly recommend the Madrid summer internship program.

I had a great experience with AIFS abroad! I believe that my internship placement suited me well and I was able to learn a lot about myself and Spain. I recommend AIFS to anyone who is looking to experience having an internship abroad!

I learned so much about my professional skills, personal plans, and the world during my internship at a digital marketing agency in Madrid. I was nervous coming in because I didn’t know anyone else in the program and had only talked with my boss once, but everyone welcomed me with open arms the second I arrived! I got to travel around Spain and to other countries, greatly improve my Spanish skills, and explore the rich cultural life of Madrid. I came here with really high expectations and I can say the program met all of them. I was able to work in a translation company with interns from all over the world and during the afternoons I would make plans for myself with my friends. I traveled some weekends and created a great relationships and contacts.

I had a great time interning in Madrid ! It’s a beautiful city with great people and so much to do ! I had a great time in my internship placement meeting new people, and experiencing a different work culture. There was also always something to do !

I spent two months here in Madrid, Spain living with 9 other individuals who all are doing internships just like myself. The AFIS program helped me so much throughout the entire process and allowed me to easily transition from my life back in the States to life in Madrid. AFIS provided me a great internship at HelpHousing and I learned so much from the people who were involved! Also as someone who’s Spanish is very subpar, I felt welcomed by everyone and they were very friendly and supportive to me learning their language!

This trip opened my eyes to a whole new culture and way of living life! The program itself was amazing with the roomate and internship placements! I got to meet so many different individuals throughout my trip and made amazing friends and memories :)

This internship abroad program allowed me to learn new things about my career and life. I got to meet some great people who are close friends of mine now that I got the chance to live with in Madrid. I also got the pleasure to work a great company that taught me new things and shaped me to be a better employee.

I loved my program, my internship had flexibility for travel plans, super convenient living situation, well matched with roommates. great experience overall. Madrid was a great location. I always had something to do and see, super rich history, great nightlife, amazing public transportation.

I had a great experience with the internship. I traveled all over Spain and learned alot and saw some beautiful sites. I met some very nice people. It was a great experience overall. The program did a great job organizing fun activities and trips.

This experience was one I will never forget. I have learned so much through my internship that will prepare me for the future. I have also been immersed in the Spanish culture and traveled to many places in and around Spain. I have loved meeting so many new people not only at work but also in the program. Highly recommend this program to everyone!

To anyone considering applying to this opportunity, I’d say definitely go for it! The Global Experiences team is so receptive, hard-working, and experienced, and works with each intern closely to figure out the best internship abroad possible. I has an incredible experience with the company I was matched with; the work was engaging and my coworkers were so welcoming. When I got to Spain originally, I had a sinus infection and was miserable. My program advisor and Location coordinator were so thoughtful and understanding during this whole time! They made sure I got back on my feet and was ready to work and explore. Everything in Madrid is so accessible, the people are kind, and the food is so good! If you love trying new things this is the place for you!! p.s. Lourdes is the BEST!!

First time traveling to Europe was unforgettable! I am so grateful that I chose to do an internship in Madrid, Spain and got paired with an amazing, supportive, and attentive coordinator like Lourdes! I have always felt comfortable living here and with any questions or concerns that I had Lourdes was always there when I needed her. I will forever be grateful for this experience and everyone I have met along the way! I would highly recommend Global Experience to anyone, I recommend enough that I will be studying abroad with the same founder program of GE (AIFS) in Spring 2023 in Madrid, Spain! I am looking forward to coming back and create a stronger relationship with the locals I have met, my internship co-workers, and my GE coordinator. I was beyond excited to finally get to spend time abroad, and I am so glad I had my location coordinator to make this transition that much easier. I got settled in to this great location near commercial places, with a good number of people to meet and interact with, as well as learn from. I got to meet the the people from the company I would be working with and they were so welcoming and inclusive! They introduced me to their culture and always helped fill in any gaps I had. I have gained professional connections as well as lifelong friendships through this experience, and the best part is that I got to do it while doing the thing I love most: traveling, immersing myself in culture, art, music, and wonder.

This is an experience that I am never going to forget and will forever treasure. The people I met and what they taught me about life will stay in my heart. I know now what I want to do regarding my professional field and my future.

The internship was everything I imagined and more. I met so many people, immersed my self in Spanish culture, and had the opportunity to travel around Europe. I would highly recommend this program to anyone.

I am so glad I chose to do this program and have had the time of my life in Madrid! I have learned so much about my self and am so glad I chose to do this. I learned so much through my internship and loved my boss! Definitely recommend going on this program! I have traveled all over Spain and have made so many great memories and great friends!! I loved living right in the city of Madrid and walking everywhere and exploring was super fun -and interesting!!
