NYC Summer Internship 2026
August 26, 2026by: isabelle clayton temple - United KingdomBeyond Academy were absolutely brilliant from start to finish, every step is well thought out with sufficient support throughout not only from the programme leaders in the city taking us to events, shows, dinners, and hotspots, but also from those behind the scenes making the internship happen in the first place!
Skin Care Internship in Korea
August 25, 2026by: Devon * - United StatesProgram: Beauty/ SkinCare Internship in Seoul
I worked for a Korean Skin Care Company for 5 months that also does Marketing for other Skin Care Companies. So in a typical day, I do a lot of social media work. I decided to come to South Korea, because I was really interested in the culture and the language and since I have been always interested in Skin Care, I thought that Korea would be the best place to do that. I wanted to do an internship in Korea, because I thought it would be a really great way to build the cultural understanding skills for future careers. And I found KoreaGapYear when searching for different option for doing an internship in Korea on Gooverseas and when I found it I thought it sounded like a really great option I would definitely recommend KGY because it was a very simple process with very prompt responses. It has been definitely the best experience! I am going to miss so much and come back for sure!

The best experience ever!
August 24, 2026by: Stephanie Lin - United StatesMy experience in Thailand has been so fun! I got to see a lot of the major temples and sites that are a must visit. I made many friends with the other interns here. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They helped me with any questions I had or anything in general. Overall my experience was amazing, 10/10 would recommend to anyone on the fence about it! I would even come back if I could!
from Amsterdam to China
August 24, 2026by: Leo van der Meer - NetherlandsAs a business student from Amsterdam, I wanted to understand how global companies operate in Asia. GAC placed me with a consulting firm in Beijing, where I worked on real strategy projects for international clients. My mentor gave me hands-on exposure to market entry plans and client presentations. The team handled everything — visa, housing, and even helped me set up a local bank account. Three months later, I returned to the Netherlands with practical skills and a clear career direction. Highly recommend this program.

Participating in a professional architecture internship in Japan allowed me to experience full immersion into Tokyo’s world-renowned efficiency culture.
August 23, 2026by: ALAN GUZMAN XIQUE - MexicoWorking under Japanese architectural standards refined my attention to detail, from millimetric plan specifications and flawless physical and digital models to rigorous material and color approvals. Also, the firm’s global environment, operating across Japanese, English, French, Spanish, and Mandarin, significantly broadened my cross-cultural collaboration skills and global perspective. Beyond the studio, exploring Tokyo and four additional Japanese cities alongside international colleagues turned personal goals into lifelong memories.

I guess i want to move to China from Ireland
August 22, 2026by: David Conner - IrelandAfter finishing school in Ireland, I didn't want to just travel — I wanted to do something meaningful. GAC's gap year program in Shanghai was perfect. I interned at a marketing agency in the mornings and studied Mandarin at Fudan University in the afternoons. The team arranged everything — my internship, classes, shared apartment, and weekend trips. I came back with real work experience, improved Chinese, and a clear direction for my future. Highly recommend.

My summer in Bangkok
August 22, 2026by: Charlotte Bevin - United StatesI absolutely loved my summer in Bangkok with Beyond Academy. It was really interesting to learn about Thai culture from just walking to the BTS station and talking to locals. It is very humid in Bangkok and be prepared to sweat a lot but it is worth it! The food in Thailand is delicious, my personal favorite was the Thai Basil Rice (you can clarify your spice levels). I also highly suggest to travel to other places in Thailand/South East Asia while you are there. I went to Phuket, Ko Samet (beaches) and Chang Mai (more mountains/rural).
Barcelona Intern
August 21, 2026by: Kiera Ramirez - United StatesThe entire internship abroad experience was great! The Beyond Academy coordinators did a great job organizing activities that allowed us to experience the must-see parts of Barcelona, while also providing great recommendations for places to eat, explore, and navigate the city. I also really appreciated the wide variety of internship fields available. Overall, it was a great way to gain international work experience while experiencing life in Barcelona!
Thank you so much for the lovely review, Kiera! We’re so glad to hear that you had such a positive experience in Barcelona and were able to combine gaining international work experience with making the most of everything the city has to offer. It’s especially great to hear how much you enjoyed the activities organized by our Barcelona Community Team, as well as all of their local recommendations along the way. We always want our interns to feel like they’re really experiencing life in their program city, rather than simply living and working there for a few weeks. We loved having you as part of our Barcelona community and hope you’re leaving with some amazing memories, new skills and experiences that you can take forward into your future career. Wishing you all the best with whatever comes next!
Love South Korea, Love Korea Gapyear.
August 19, 2026by: Jodie * - GermanyProgram: Beauty/ SkinCare Internship in Seoul
Hi~ I’m Jodie from Germany, and my love for K-pop is what first led me to Korea. I’m a huge fan of BTS, and I also love Mamamoo and Seventeen. Because of them, I dreamed of visiting Korea one day—not just as a tourist, but to truly experience everyday life in this country. Through the Korea Gap Year program, I had the chance to work as an intern at a Korean cosmetics company, and it became one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. My time as an intern was both fun and incredibly rewarding. Everyone I worked with was kind and welcoming, which helped me feel comfortable from the very beginning. I learned so much about Korean cosmetics—how they are developed, marketed, and used by people in Korea. I even found skincare products that were perfect for my own skin. Through this experience, I finally understood why Korean beauty products are loved all over the world. What made this experience even better was the thoughtful support from Korea Gap Year. They took great care of everything in advance and always made sure I was doing well. They also recommended places to visit and fun activities to try, which helped me enjoy my time in Korea beyond work. Thanks to their guidance, I was able to explore the country with confidence and curiosity. My time in Korea was truly, deeply happy. Every day was filled with excitement, learning, and warm memories. Korea now feels like a place close to my heart, not just a destination on a map. One day, I hope to return again with my friends and family!

Experience in the Beauty Industry
August 19, 2026by: Nora * - CanadaProgram: Beauty/ SkinCare Internship in Seoul
I always wanted to experience what it would be like to work in the beauty industry. This internship gave me the opportunity to explore my interests and learn more about how the industry works behind. I was able to ask questions, discover things I was curious about, and gain real insights from the team. It was exciting to see how ideas become actual products and how much effort goes into creating beauty trends and experiences. This experience helped me better understand the industry and gave me valuable knowledge and confidence for my future. I’m truly grateful for this opportunity and would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in beauty, creativity, and gaining practical experience in an international environment.
Best summer ever
August 19, 2026by: Bryce Brenkus - United StatesThe internship experience in Barcelona was absolutely amazing both in the office and out of the office. Our local host Isabel was amazing when getting us acclimated to the city, as well as providing reccomendations and ensuring our safety. On top of that, her community events that she planned for our group were so much fun whether it was a day trip to the beach, going to dinner, or attractions like park guell. The internship on the other hand was a great work experience, and I learned so much about working abroad.
Thank you so much for the amazing review, Bryce! We’re so glad to hear that you had such a positive experience both inside and outside of your internship during your time in Barcelona. It’s especially lovely to hear how much you appreciated Isabel and all of the support, recommendations and activities she provided throughout your program. From beach days and dinners to exploring some of Barcelona’s must-see spots, it sounds like you really made the most of your time in the city! We’re also so happy to hear that your internship gave you valuable professional experience and the opportunity to learn more about working abroad. We loved having you as part of our Barcelona community and hope you’re leaving with plenty of new skills, friendships and amazing memories from your summer!
Great time!
August 19, 2026by: Madison Anderson - United StatesI had a great time in Berlin! I got to experience living on my own for the first time in a brand new city. Learn how to use public transportation, save money, take care of myself, and learn new things from my internship.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, Madison! We’re so glad to hear that your time in Berlin gave you the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally while gaining practical experience in marketing and analytics. We loved having you as part of our Berlin community and hope the skills, lessons and experiences from your summer abroad continue to support you throughout your studies and future career. Wishing you all the best with whatever comes next!
From Studying China to Living It
August 18, 2026by: Giada Gaetani - ItalyAfter studying Mandarin for ten years, moving to Shanghai felt like turning years of learning into real life. Suddenly, the language I had studied in classrooms became the language I used every day: to work, connect with people and truly experience China from within. My internship challenged me professionally, while living on the other side of the world pushed me to become more independent, adaptable and confident. Knowing Mandarin helped me overcome cultural barriers and made every interaction more meaningful, from the workplace to everyday life and travelling across China. I went to Shanghai looking for international experience in one of the countries I love most, but I came back with something much bigger: the feeling that ten years of studying had finally found their purpose. China was no longer something I had learned about—it became a part of my story. Choosing just one photo to represent this experience almost feels impossible—two months in China gave me far too many places, people and memories worth capturing in a single frame.

Sake and social writing
August 18, 2026by: Ashton Taylor - United StatesI decided to do an internship abroad through Absolute internships with a question, "can I live and work in Japan comfortably?" and I can say with confidence that the experience they provided absolutely delivered a resounding "Yes!". I was delivered a painless process duing selection, and they found me the perfect company that I could use my skills as an english and history double major to make a positive impact that was appreciated by my host company (Yukari Japan Tour, a tour company specializing in sake brewery tours) and showed me how I can be valued for the work I can do. The expereicne was made fun and relaxed with fantastic coordinators that cared about the work they were doing with us and who seemed to genuinely want the best for us as both representatives of Absolute Internships and as peers. I made some wonderful memories with both my fellow interns and my host ccompany, and I will forever be grateful to Absolute Internships for fascilitating the making of them.
Reeeeally precious experience of my life
August 18, 2026by: Mengqi Jin - ChinaI had a great experience during my internship in Japan this summer. I got to work in an international office, meet people from different backgrounds, and experience working in Tokyo. During the internship, I worked on financial products, Excel workbooks, research, and legal documents. Everyone in the office was really friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Overall, I learned a lot, became more comfortable working in both English and Japanese, and really enjoyed my time there. I’m very glad I had this opportunity!
Its time to get out of my bubble
August 14, 2026by: Adya J - IndiaLondon was the most unrealistic experience for me! The work-life balance culture, dressing, food, lifestyle, people everything seemed like a fantasy. These 2 months are something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Never did I think I would get to meet such great people, eat all this food, and party as I've never done before! The experience coordinators were the absolute best. They ensured we had a great time, did not make us feel like we were away from home, and most importantly, they were our friends! We talked, ate, and went out together like we've known each other since forever. Honestly, I wasn't sure about this entire experience, but once I got here, oh boy, I would give my heart and soul for this to just be my reality. My opinion, be unsure, dream unrealistically, spend that money, overthink it, but take that step and go for it, because what's the worst that could happen?

August 13, 2026by: Kimson Wu - United StatesProgram: Internships in Hong Kong, China
Before going to Hong Kong, i thought all I was going to experience is the internship itself and nothing else. Until I realized the intern group provided other memorable experiences for us. I met a LOT of new people and got to know more about them and how we all ended up in Hong Kong. What an experience
