Interning at a fortune 500 company in shanghai blew me away like really it did. Instead of grabbing coffee, waling around the office, laughing and setting I jumped right into real marketing campaigns. my mentor didn’t let me hide in the background either or as always just grab a coffee and sit somewhere—they had me present straight to clients. Terrifying at first, but honestly, it was incredible. The GAC team took care of everything—visa, apartment, even some survival Mandarin lessons. I met friends from all over the globe. As a third year politics student and a heritage with going to China and exploring it's culture and working environment i was really impressed by that, ok on social media we were seeing the face of china that we usually see, but if you get into it internally you'll see what's actually going on. I think I want to be diplomat in the China to experience real politics and international relations. I was placed in such a perfect place where I learned more things perfectly and thanks to my program provider, we have a whole video recorded along the way uploaded to my channel and it had more engagement.
