Barcelona Internships with Beyond Academy

During my 6 weeks in Barcelona I was given the opportunity to intern at a consulting firm and gain hands on experience working with Catalonias sustainability strategy. I worked hybrid so during my free time I was able to take weekend trips and explore the city. Beyond organized activities for their interns, curating community and providing opportunities to explore parts of Barcelona I otherwise wouldn’t have known existed. I met people everywhere I went and made some friendships that will last a lifetime. I am so grateful to beyond for facilitating a wonderful experience.

My internship in Barcelona was an amazing experience that went far beyond just professional growth. The company I was paired with was genuinely interesting and educational, and Beyond makes sure that you are supported and have a sense of community throughout your stay. However, what truly made the experience stand out were the people. From our community coordinator to my fellow peers, I met some of the most interesting people and was lucky enough to form friendships. By the end of the internship, I left not only more confident and capable, but with an established community in the city. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity and it would recommend it to anyone interested.

This internship was amazing, I definitely got to experience a lot of Barcelona, and that was massively influenced by the experiences provided by Beyond Academy, not only where we visited but also it allowed us a chance to meet the other interns who I spent most of my time with throughout the internship! Our group orientation leader Isabel was also a big part in why the experience Beyond Academy provided was so amazing. The only thing I would improve is the work experience itself, I would be prepared to not have the work itself meet your specific requirements, but there is definitely opportunity to raise these concerns while you’re there with Beyond Academy but also the workplace itself as my company was more than happy to give me more work when I was looking for it :)
