My internship experience with Beyond Academy was incredibly valuable, both professionally and personally. From the beginning, the program was well-structured and supportive, making the transition into a new work environment feel smooth and exciting rather than overwhelming. One of the standout aspects of Beyond Academy is the level of guidance and mentorship provided. The team consistently checked in, offered advice, and created a strong sense of community among interns. This made a huge difference, especially being in a new city and navigating a new industry. Their workshops and career coaching sessions were particularly helpful in building confidence, refining my professional skills, and thinking more intentionally about my career path. I had such a great summer with the Beyond Academy programme! From the very first application to them, they were always there to guide me and give me advice. I got some great feedback and help with my CV and some really good interview practice. The internship I ended up doing was a marketing internship with a theatre in Islington. It was so much fun! I learned so many skills, and gained a lot of useful experience. Especially where PR is considered! I'm already in talks for a graduate job directly because of this experience! The London coordinators were such great people and super helpful! They were also a lot of fun at the Beyond events I attended (of which there were a lot, and often were covered as part of the programme)! Overall, I highly recommend using Beyond as it is such a stress-free way to complete an internship, experience the culture of another city, and really stands out on a resume!

A program like this feels like its too good to be true. Especially when you consider I found them on Instagram. Regardless, it was one of the BEST experiences OF MY LIFE!!! The Beyond Academy staff was so beyond helpful with finding me a placement, getting me a visa, etc. Once I was in London (my placement location), the community team was there supporting me before I even set my bags down. Litterally, I had to call them to get my accommodation keys and they helped solve the issue in minutes! I could not have asked for a better experience with a better program!

This internship really changed my life in ways I couldn’t have predicted. I had the idea that it would be constant fun, constantly doing things and waves of excitement and learning. But it was a combination of those things, but it came with a lot more difficulties than I expected. However, I actually think that it was vital for my growth as a person and it turns out I’m grateful for them. I also got a full time job offer and I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish that had I not taken this chance. I will be forever grateful for it

Being able to work in a global city as robust and diverse as London allows you to meet so many different people from all walks of life as well as multiple experiences that are great too! Creating a good work life balance was crucial and it allowed me to enjoy being in the office as well as my time off to experience the city and all it had to offer!

Living in London for two months was an absolutely incredible experience! From meeting people from all over the globe to experiencing the city’s history, I learned so much and explored so many amazing places. There was always something to do! For anyone who will be in London for the first time, I have two words for you: afternoon tea. Do it. Multiple times. It is divine.

Loved the London Beyond Community. Everyone is very friendly and sweet and had a really good time overall. The community coordinators were amazing and very supportive and fun. London is an amazing city just kind of expensive :/ other than that amazing overall

Beyond Academy was so amazing !! I was a bit nervous in the beginning, but after the first day meeting the other interns the nerves instantly went away. Everyone I met was so great and I had the absolute best time. All of the events were so much fun and it was a fantastic way to experience more of London. Definitely something I will always look back on and was an experience of a life time. I even extended my trip two extra weeks and wished I could have stayed longer. I definitely & highly recommend :)

Living abroad during my internship was an incredibly rewarding experience. The reason that I applied for this programme was to know whether I would be able to work in this country. And I saw the possibility. English is not my first language, so I was always afraid of using it. However, during the programme, I had a lot of opportunities to practice and improve my English knowledge. Now I feel confident and ready to have meaningful relationships with other people using the language. It was not only about the language; it was also good to learn the work culture in the UK. I was working for a marketing company, and it came to my mind that communication is very important. I saw many people giving feedback to each other relentlessly to get to the best result. It also helped me learn how to work as a team, and I believe this is something you wouldn't get to learn when you are a student and often just write essays stuck in your room all day long. London is a multicultural city. It was such an opportunity for me to get used to various regional accents and experience many different cultures. You would get all sort of Indian, Korean, Chinese, English, and other types of foods, and surprisingly they are authentic. During the programme, I was also able to meet a lot of people from different countries. We had community events twice a week from Beyond Academy, and it was interesting enough for me to meet people from India, Nigeria, America, etc. London has a lot of things to see and experience. Many attractions are located in Central London altogether, so it was easy for me to look around the area and visit them. Although the hustle and bustle of the city, there were always new things coming up whenever I entered in a different area, which kept me enjoyable and excited. I would like to give thanks to the team of Beyond Academy for giving me such a valuable experience. I believe that people have to see and experience as much as possible, especially when they are young. Hope they keep up the good work.

I had the best time while interning in my favorite city! I was a marketing intern at Jet Media Network and could not have asked for a better atmosphere of work and people. I felt so welcome every time I stepped into my office and they always had something interesting for me to do, even going to content shoots for big names in the sports & entertainment industry! The beyond staff were so kind and I hope to see them again as I plan to return to London to study for my Master's. I would recommend this experience to anyone and I always felt so safe. My accommodation was fantastic and brand new. It was a commute but the tube system is so quick and easy to navigate I really felt powerful getting to and from places on my own haha. Thank you all for the best summer ever and I hope to be back soon!

This was one of the best and most memorable times of my life! It was great to have support in not only finding the perfect internship, but an accommodation a short tube ride away from central London. The event coordinators/leaders did a great job at providing the best possible London experience. They planned very fun events that took place weekly, including booking a very nice food tour. Out of all the similar programs I looked into, Beyond Academy is definitely the one that gives the most for what you pay. If your planning on going abroad, I can’t recommend Beyond Academy enough!

Beyond academy was great. They first walked us through all of the steps to get an internship in a foreign country. Applying for a work visa was a confusing process that they were able to walk me through seamlessly. Once we arrived to London, they held multiple events for me and the other interns where we were able to get to know each other as well as the city of London. We went to multiple dinners, a food tour, a day trip to Cambridge, and more.

The past six weeks of my life were probably the best! I got the opportunity to return to the greatest city in the world, London! As someone who's been to the city before, it was nice to familiarize myself with the surroundings. Familiar sights reminded me of my two previous trips to this city! Anyway, Beyond Academy has proven to be a remarkable and extraordinary internship abroad company! They placed me with an incredible company that made me feel welcome and loved! I also enjoyed the events that Beyond hosted each week. This allowed me to meet and mingle with fellow interns in the program. Some of whom have become close friends! These events also allowed me to see parts of London I had never seen before! As a travel lover, exploring and taking in the London atmosphere was great! Now, as wonderful as this program was for me, there are a few things that need to be improved. Just so that future interns can have an even better experience. First thing, they need to work on communication during the work placement process. It took almost two months to find a work placement and the fact that communication at times was minimum is a bit concerning on my end. I feel that this process could be improved if there were more people that the interns could speak with so that the application, interview, and visa processes are quick, easy, and effective. Second, when it comes to housing, I was a bit disappointed that my accommodation was located almost an hour away from my work location. There were numerous times during my stay when I would be running late due to train delays or even protests. They said that my commute would be 30 minutes or less. Finally, I really wish this company would provide transportation to the airport when my internship concluded. They did provide a ride when I arrived, but I was on my own when I departed. I feel that they could be more clear about that and provide transportation options for us. Other than those few minor flaws, this internship turned out to be one of the greatest summers of my life! I have plans to return to London in the not-so-distant future to further my endeavors and start my career working in the theatre industry! I highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to have a wonderful time and gain experience in the industry they choose to work in!

Overall, my time in London was fantastic and I will remember this experience forever. The Beyond community coordinators were super fun and I enjoyed the events they would set up each week. It was great to meet other interns from around the world and it was very comforting knowing there was someone there if I needed something, especially being alone in a big city.
