Teach English in Ecuador with Projects Abroad

I can’t recommend this project through Projects Abroad enough. The location of the project in the Galápagos Islands was truly an unforgettable experience with the nature and the project itself. The locals are the friendliest you can meet and they are very complimentary of the benefits of the project and what the company does for the islands in relation to teaching English and conservation work. One of the key things about the location of this project is the safety. You could not find a safer place to go and travel, which makes the overall experience even better. Prior to departure, I was given great advice and any questions I had about the trip was answered in advance in a prompt response. This meant I was able to plan effectively for my trip and eliminate any stress associated with travelling solo to the other side of the world. When I arrived in Galápagos I was greeted at the airport by the project supervisor who took me to my accommodation before giving me an orientation of my project. My accommodation itself was a great cultural experience and I learned so much from living with a family from the islands and eating foods that I never thought I would’ve tried or liked. The family were extremely welcoming and I still keep in touch with them regularly since I came home. The project itself was fantastic and it was great knowing you were making such a difference to the lives of the young people living on the islands. A typical teaching day for me was from 2pm-6pm in the afternoons Mondays-Thursdays which meant I had plenty time in the mornings and weekends to travel and sightsee. I was also provided with a day off when I wished to travel for the weekend to another island. I can’t recommend this project enough. Incredible experience, incredible people, incredible time.
