Established in 1992, Projects Abroad is now one of the largest volunteer organizations in the world. Each year, we send 10,000 volunteers to 30 various developing countries around the world. As part of the 2-Week High School Special program, the Care & Community project in Nepal is an incredible opportunity for volunteers to make connections and give to a local community in a short amount of time. Volunteers will work with local children and get involved with activities like renovating and decorating the building and spending the afternoons with the children. This program includes evening cultural events and a weekend trip to central markets and local temples of Kathmandu, organized by our local staff.

A wonderful experience

I come back from my trip with nothing but good things to say about the staff, the volunteering experience, the food as well as the tourism. Our guides were always ready to answer any question we had at any time during the day or even the night. I can also speak for everyone when I say that they made us feel safe and most of all welcome throughout the duration of our trip.
