It provides you with solid knowledge and training in managing and promoting the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of several civilizations of the past that flourished in Europe, North Africa, and Eastern and Western Asia. The program covers two overarching areas in two different ways: - Tangible Cultural Heritage: history and interpretation; and discovering, cataloging, preserving, and archiving; - Intangible Cultural Heritage: history, anthropology, philosophy, history of religions, and law; and languages and literatures. Once you graduate, you will be equipped to work in the cultural sector in various contexts, including but not limited to assistant curating in connection with the organization of exhibitions and cultural events, excavation work in archaeological sites, the management or implementation of reception services at archaeological sites, museums, exhibits, and the cataloging of cultural heritage. It emphasizes first-hand research in various museums, architectural monuments, and archaeological sites in Europe and North Africa. The MAAH program of the American College of the Mediterranean cultivates interdisciplinary and cross-cultural approaches for researching the material cultures and artistic exchanges in the Mediterranean throughout the ages. The program has three tracks: - Art History - Museum Studies - Fine Arts Students can complete this degree program in 12 months of full-time study. It consists of thirty-six credits in Art History, six credits in Foreign Language, and the submission and successful completion of a Master’s Thesis. Based in France, Spain, and North Africa, the MAAH provides the opportunity to conduct research and take on an internship in various museums in Europe and North Africa.
