What inspired you to travel abroad?
For me, studying or working abroad offers professional and personal growth—exposure to global ideas, unique job experiences, and opportunities to build connections worldwide. Others are drawn to the adventure itself: trying new foods, learning languages, and immersing themselves in history or nature. However, I knew I still wanted to stay in Europe.

Personally, I believe it is important to study business administration to gain the skills and knowledge needed to make a meaningful impact in the world, whether by leading a successful organization, driving innovation, or creating solutions that benefit communities and economies.
What was your favorite part about Prague?
I loved Prague, Czech Republic, for its enchanting blend of rich history, stunning and vibrantly colorful architecture, and the vibrant city life, welcoming atmosphere that makes every corner feel like a story waiting to be discovered. Prague is truly a magical place that offers all four seasons and they are all amazing to experience.
What made your experience abroad extraordinary?
My experience abroad helped me immerse myself in unforgettable sights, rich traditions, fantastic meals, and new friendships at every corner. At the same time, the University of New York has a great integration system where I felt welcome, an amazing cultural mix of nationalities, and a straightforward study system.
How did the local program staff support you throughout your program?
The University of New York in Prague offers immense help to all students, not just those coming from abroad. Two divisions specifically are great to go to for support: the CGE and the Student Affairs office. They guided me through every step, and I always felt like I could come to them for help.

What's one thing you wish you would have done differently during your time abroad?
I, for sure have no regrets during my semester abroad. However it is still quite an experience, and I came with a list of things I want to try and do. But of course, you still need to part take in classes, so I wish I would have taken more time to actually attend more events hosted by student council especially their ski trip as it looked amazing!
Describe what a typical day in your life abroad looked like.
In all honesty, my day was quite simple and straightforward. I would wake up, grab breakfast in a cute cafe, or cook myself one. Went to class (blocks are 3 hours long and not every day), so then spent time in class. The remaining time I did my school work and then had plenty of time for myself, my new friends and discovering Prague.

What did you enjoy doing in your free time abroad?
Thanks to Prague being so central it is sooo easy to basically hop on a train, bus, or even plane and travel to any other city or country around Europe to take part in extended weekends. And for longer holidays off, it was great to go for a longer time. Due to meeting other foreign students, we had a great collective to partake in such events.
What type of accommodation did you have? What did you like best about it?
What is fantastic is that the University of New York in Prague coordinates with a few accommodations, but they also have one of their own. I stayed at Belgicka Apartments which belongs to the University of New York in Prague. What I loved is that the apartments are 3 minutes walking distance from the University and about 10 minutes walking to the center.
