Chiang Mai is fondly referred to as the “Rose of the North” for its beautiful and relaxing atmosphere amidst friendly smiles, temples, and flowers. You can experience all the city has to offer by signing up for the Chiang Mai program of USAC. This is a wonderful opportunity to study and live in a vibrant city. The academic component involves studies in philosophy, economics, politics, culture, religions, and Thai and Southeast Asian languages. You will dive into multiple disciplines, allowing you to respond to Thailand and the region’s current events and ever-changing issues. Normal coursework only comprises half the value of your exciting semester or year abroad. Participation in social and cultural activities - such as field trips to the Chiang Rai province, villages, and national parks around Chiang Mai - as well as optional field studies also form an essential part of the program. Spend a semester or academic year in Salamanca with AIFS Abroad. Earn up to 18 credits studying at the University of Salamanca. Courses are taught in English or Spanish, with no previous Spanish language study required for most programs. Apply to our Paris program and get the chance to attend French culture and language, business, and/or elective courses based on your academic goals! Your choices of institutions are the American Business School Paris (ABSP), the Cours de Civilization Française de la Sorbonne (CCFS), and the Institut Catholique de Paris. All courses, except French language and some culture courses, are taught in English by guest lecturers and international professors. Our Paris office is located in the Latin Quarter, across the Seine River from the Notre Dame Cathedral. The IES Abroad Madrid Program is designed for those who want to experience the vitality of Spain! Live in its capital city and through course enrollment at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), one of the country's most distinguished universities.
