CIEE Open Campus Block in London, England

I would 100% recommend CIEE Study Abroad. I stayed in London for all 3 of my blocks, and the staff could not have been more helpful and supportive throughout my time here. They have helped me grow as a student, and as a person in the last 4 months, and I have found a city that I have fallen in love with. The planned events were always perfectly timed with the seasons and had a variety to choose from every block. I plan on returning in spring of 2027 through CIEE again!

The CIEE staff clearly really care about us and how we do. Ashlyn is very organized, and really tries her hardest to fix any issue we have with courses. The teachers at Villanova University are also all AMAZING and so kind.

I think it is a great program, obviously. It's super cool to just spend a really potent six weeks in a country, develop some passionate friendships, and then move on to the next place. I think I have learned a lot so far, and it's only the end of the first block

It’s an amazing opportunity to see the world and isn’t as expensive as some other programs! They’re super hands on, which I personally like because it’s nice to know you have a support system that cares about you when you’re thousands of miles away from your family or friends. The people that work here are so nice and genuinely want to get to know you and make you feel cared about. I was so scared to study abroad, but the second I got here, I knew I was in the right hands and felt cared about. It's nice to know you have a whole team of people who have your back when doing something super out of your comfort zone. I also like that they conduct excursions within our classes but also for the program as a whole.

the staff is wonderful and very accommodating to different situations. I would specifically like to add that with the London program Ashlyn is AMAZING. made the whole experience a million times easier. I especially loved the eventbrite excursions we can sign up for to explore more

I think the entire staff is very supportive and genuinely cares about each and every student. The program is organized in such a way that each student gets not only the best experiences, but also education, support, and knowledge of their new temporary home.

Amazing program every which way. Consistent schedule and routine. Free Friday’s to be able to travel on weekends. Class Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and Wednesday student life & involvement events. Met great people and went to amazing sites.

The London team offers so much assistance. The stunning study center structure is right next door to the British Museum. The housing is compact but adequate. I had a roommate situation where we didn't get along and I needed to transfer roommates. They were able to give me my own room until my family arrived to visit, at which point I could stay with them. When you require assistance or have inquiries, they are helpful. Although the city is fantastic, it is pricey to live there. Throughout the entire 6 weeks, they put on fantastic day trips and excursions. The city also has amazing food and is very diverse!

An amazing program since it lets you travel to 3 locations, super friendly and helpful staff that made my experience so much better, and London location was super organized and helpful and amazing. Also the GI is amazing there too.

I think the program is a great way to customize your experience abroad. You have the ability to choose one city for 3 or up to 3 different cities to live and study in over the course of 18 weeks. I think it's a very unique program that doesn't make you choose just one place if you can't decide where you would like to study for an entire semester. I also think that the staff is extremely knowledgable and helpful. Being in London for 3 blocks, the staff here was always able to give recommendations or guide people to the right place to get something.

It is well organized. Every activity they put into your calendar is education. On top of that, it relates to you major one way or another. That is because they have tracks that go along with it. They also have a wide range of places to study abroad. That includes whether or not you want to be in their institutions or a local one to the place you are studying.

There were so many perks, but at the same time it depends on the experience a friend would want. Some seem to want something a little more in tuned with the culture of a region, but I didn't always seem to get as much of a cultural experience as I would have hoped. Aside from that, everything was so lovely! The study tours, teachers, etc. Just lovely!

The only reason I would be unlikely to recommend the program to a friend is because the classes are a blend of American and English style. Many who study abroad want to be fully immersed in the countries culture and be in classes with people who live in the country. But this program was a good fit for me.

The staff of CIEE have been nothing but extremely helpful, understanding, and welcoming. CIEE made sure the transitioning period in the beginning went smoothly. I feel as though this program was one of the main reasons why I never felt homesick or uncomfortable at any point over these past 4 months.

Ciee has been really beneficial to my life and has helped me find the place that I want to be my new home which is London. The staff is really nice and go above and beyond for you and there is no other program that offers you to travel to 3 countries while being abroad for one semester.

I think the program is a great way for people to see new places, travel, and learn. I didn't put a 10 because it takes a lot of personal responsibility to travel abroad and discipline is really needed to get assignments done on time and budget ourselves.

To be brief, I would highly recommend this program to anyone and utilize the pitch: if you want to evolve mentally and spiritually you should study abroad. Study abroad with CIEE because they make the whole experience fun, and less complicated as possible.

CIEE was an absolutely amazing, eye opening experience for me. I am highly likely to recommend CIEE to others because of the vast cultural opportunities it provides, in addition to global connections and the ability to see the world in a different way.

CIEE does a great job of contributing to the students overall experience rather than simply just academics. However, on the other hand studying at a CIEE global institute misses some of the benefits of studying at a local University.

It depends on what kind of program they are looking for, I enjoyed this program but it is very untraditional. It was flexible and worked into my schedule but it was not the study abroad experience I was expecting.
