Program Overview

Study in Dakar, Senegal’s vibrant coastal capital, through an immersive semester or academic year combining direct university enrollment, academic flexibility, language learning, and meaningful engagement with Senegalese culture. APA welcomes students from a wide range of majors and disciplines, with courses spanning Political Science, International Relations, Business, Communications, Humanities, Social Sciences, STEM, and more. Earn up to 16 U.S. credits through direct enrollment at Institut Supérieur de Management (ISM), choosing courses from the Madiba Leadership Institute, School of Management, and School of Engineering in French or English. Students may also take APA in-house courses taught by local faculty or pursue an independent study or research project. Beyond the classroom, participate in ISM’s Soft Skills Academy, strengthen your French and learn Wolof, live with a Senegalese host family, and experience Dakar through cultural activities, excursions, and connections with local students. With personalized on-site support, students experience university and everyday life in the heart of Francophone West Africa.
