Beyond Academy were absolutely brilliant from start to finish, every step is well thought out with sufficient support throughout not only from the programme leaders in the city taking us to events, shows, dinners, and hotspots, but also from those behind the scenes making the internship happen in the first place!

My experience in Thailand has been so fun! I got to see a lot of the major temples and sites that are a must visit. I made many friends with the other interns here. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They helped me with any questions I had or anything in general. Overall my experience was amazing, 10/10 would recommend to anyone on the fence about it! I would even come back if I could!

Overall, I had a great experience. ABI was super on top of everything throughout the whole process - from the modules, to recruitment, through my actual internship; everyone was very communicative and responsive, which I appreciated. I got my first-choice internship type and location, working as a design intern at a boutique creative marketing agency in NYC. I enjoyed getting a look behind the curtain at all the different aspects of agency life. From a design standpoint, I learned a lot about the intersection between client management and conceptual creative thinking, but I also got to learn a bit about the account management and production side of the agency world too. Overall, the experience gave me a much stronger understanding of agency workflow and the competencies needed to excel in similar settings in the future.

After doing a six-month internship earned through ArtBound, I feel more prepared for the type of work in my industry. Before my start date, I did the ABI Academy, which helped build my interview skills, improve my resume, and helped me understand how the choices I made for my portfolio could affect the quality of opportunities I am offered. During the duration of my internship, I was in constant contact with the program coordinators, who were able to guide me during a period of time when I was having communication issues with my boss at Asia Contemporary Art Forum. My role was web/media designer and curatorial fellow; however, I wore many hats while doing my internship. I feel that I was able to truly learn how to work in a small team, how to take charge and make decisions, and improve my institutional style writing. Though I didn't get to participate in most of the intern gatherings during my internship program, I like that I will always have a community to engage with thanks to ArtBound, now that I am an ABI Alumni.

I got to meet so many amazing people while getting to explore a new city, all while building my resume at an amazing internship company that will leave a lasting impact on me. The community coordinators are the nicest people ever and make sure that you feel like you belong in the city, no matter where you are from :)

Stage-Global definitely took away the stress of having to figure out everything regarding the visa. That helped me a lot and gave me more time to focus on other things when planning to go to the United States.

Stage-Global made the entire visa process much easier, which allowed me to focus on preparing for the move instead of worrying about paperwork. If you are considering a J-1 program, I'd say go for it.

My time with beyond academy was amazing. I went to NYC for 6 weeks and honestly it was an adventure I will never forget. The community team was so helpful and the activities they planned were super fun. 100% worth it if you’re thinking of an internship abroad.

Beyond Academy gives college students the opportunity to have an unforgettable experience in a new place as well as concrete work experience both for a more complete resume and sharper skills to apply in your career. I met some amazing people and developed a great relationship with my host company. My experience with AIFS Abroad was incredible! From start to finish, I felt supported every step of the way. Samia was absolutely amazing—she was so patient, kind, and always willing to help me navigate life in NYC. She truly made the experience unforgettable. My internship at Workville was equally fantastic, with an incredibly supportive team that helped me grow both personally and professionally. Overall, the experience was a 10 out of 10. The Intern Group supported me and guided me throughout the entire process. Not only did I gain practical experience through my internship, but the social and cultural activities they organized every weekend—such as museum visits, cruises, and trips to amusement parks—were also wonderful. It was a great opportunity to learn a lot while having a fun and enjoyable time with other interns in New York. The accommodation was also excellent. I stayed in a self-contained apartment, and the location was very convenient.

it was the best thing i could have done for myself , as well as the support i had while i was there from(S a m i a 🩷), it was always a treat to see her every week and having her by my side at any time if we ever needed anything at all she made the biggest city feel so comforting knowing that we had someone like family!

The program preperations went really well the team at Stage were really helpful and thorough with everything I would need. They were really helpful whenever I had a question and were quick to provide information and resources which was amazing.
