Interior Design Internships in Japan

My experience in Thailand has been so fun! I got to see a lot of the major temples and sites that are a must visit. I made many friends with the other interns here. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They helped me with any questions I had or anything in general. Overall my experience was amazing, 10/10 would recommend to anyone on the fence about it! I would even come back if I could!

What an amazing internship experience! It was an unforgettable month that pushed me out of my comfort zone, gave me experiences I’d never have at home, and allowed me to learn about conservation while meeting some amazing people. I learned a great deal and the entire experience definitely exceeded my expectations! I really enjoyed game drives. It was a good way to explore the reserve, learn lots about the environment and wildlife, get to know other participants and no drive was ever the same. Seeing all the animals, sunrise and sunsets on drives and getting to know new people made the experience truly unforgettable.

The time spent doing my GIS internship at the Gondwana Game Reserve exceeded my expectations in both the knowledge I received and the amazing views I was fortunate enough to see. I learned a great deal, saw a lot of amazing animals and it was extremely rewarding to learn so much about GIS and wildlife.

My stay in Japan for three months over the summer was super fun. I was able to learn a lot from my internship while also being able to explore Japan for all that it has to offer. My apartment was in convenient places located near Shibuya and Shinjuku.

I did my internship in Japan during the summer. It was a bit difficult to find a company related to my area, but AIP made it possible and helped me find a good place. I had a really good experience and learned a lot from working in a different environment and living in another country. I would definitely recommend a program like this if you have the chance. It’s a great way to experience another culture, learn new things, and gain experience that can help improve your professional profile.

Thanks to AIP I had a very productive experience in Japan, the process took more time than I expected, but that’s because my job area was limited. Fortunately they found a job that fit my profile. Thank you

Meeting the people in my flat really changed my experiences. They were so kind. I was lucky with my internship with having people supporting me and also wanting to get to know me. I highly recommend this to someone.

I can’t say enough good things about this study abroad internship program in Japan. From day one, the support team went above and beyond — helping with everything from housing logistics to navigating cultural norms at the workplace, to just checking in to see how I was adjusting. Whenever I hit a snag (and there were a few, since everything was so new!), someone was always just a message away with real, helpful guidance. Working abroad completely shifted how I see the world and myself. Culturally, I learned to appreciate the nuance in Japanese communication styles — the emphasis on harmony, indirectness, and reading context that isn’t always spelled out. It pushed me to be more observant and adaptable in ways I didn’t expect. Professionally, it was just as transformative. I picked up a whole new appreciation for structure, teamwork, and attention to detail in a Japanese work environment, and it’s changed how I approach collaboration and problem-solving even now that I’m back home. This program didn’t just give me work experience — it gave me a completely new lens for how I think about both my career and myself. If you’re considering doing a study abroad internship, especially in Japan, I can’t recommend this program enough. The team truly cares about your growth, both professionally and personally.

I enjoyed my internship in Japan a lot. I got to experience the culture, the business environment, and meet new people. I gained a lot of independence from this experience, and I would recommend it to others!

Karen and Kristal at Intern Abroad HQ were wonderful at assisting me and my study abroad counselor throughout the whole process (esp. with the academic credits). Thank you to them! What I enjoyed most about the Public Health internship in Cape Town was being able to work closely and connect with such qualified, educated, and passionate professionals in my field. Being exposed to the work that they do gave me a clearer idea of what I want to do in my own professional career and gave me insight into what it takes to get there. Furthermore, I enjoyed being mentored by my internship supervisor and being able to take charge of my own internship project.

I had a great experience with AIP! They were very helpful throughout the entire process of my internship in Tokyo and guided me every step of the way. During my time abroad, they also frequently checked up on me to make sure everything was going smoothly!

Had a great experience overall. I got to work on a lot of different projects that helped me learn and build new skills. Outside of work, I explored Tokyo, experienced the culture, and met some great people. If I had one suggestion, it’d be to have more events where interns can get to know each other. Overall, it was a really fun and memorable experience.

My opportunity to intern was one of the best things I've been blessed enough to be a part of. It taught me so much about the world, the field of International Policy, culture, and working with people from other cultures. It contributed so much to how I developed as a person, how I travel, and how I live life, and the whole experience was incredibly eye-opening, both professionally and personally. I am incredibly glad that I decided to take part in this internship, it was one of the most amazing things I've gotten to be a part of.

I think Intern Abroad HQ was a great program because it provided and coordinated all that I needed. It was encouraging to not have to have every bit of my internship figured out and to know everything that was included would be reliable.

I was so incredibly fortunate to be accepted into AIP’s internship program. The people at AIP were extremely accommodating and kind and helped me navigate my way through a new country. They provided me with accommodation and a host company where I worked full-time at for 6 weeks. I spent my internship in Bangkok, and it was an amazing experience of learning, doing new things and exploring.
