It was a good time to be in Japan, and my three-month internship was a steady and informative experience overall. During this time, I was able to observe how a professional work environment operates on a day-to-day basis. I became more familiar with workplace expectations, communication styles, and the general structure of a company. The experience gave me a better understanding of how tasks are organized and how teams work together to complete them. Throughout the internship, I developed professional skills such as time management, organization, and communication. I also had the chance to see how cultural differences can influence the way people interact and approach their work. Outside of the workplace, being in Japan allowed me to experience a different culture and environment. This added to the overall experience and made the internship more memorable. I was able to explore new places, try different foods, and gain a broader perspective. Overall, the internship was a solid learning experience. It gave me general exposure to a professional setting and helped me better understand what to expect in future work environments.

Experience in Osaka Japan

During my internship, I experienced a mix of appreciation and frustration. While I was excited to gain hands-on experience and apply what I’ve learned in a real-world setting, I often felt unhappy because I wasn’t given many opportunities to actively contribute. There were long periods where I didn’t have clear tasks or responsibilities, which made me feel underutilized and unsure of how much I was actually growing professionally. I expected a more structured experience with consistent assignments, so it was difficult at times to stay motivated when there wasn’t much for me to do. However, despite these challenges, the staff played a big role in making the experience more positive. Everyone was very helpful, approachable, and willing to support me whenever I had questions. They took the time to explain things, offer guidance, and make sure I felt included in the workplace environment. Their kindness and professionalism made a difference, even during moments when I felt unproductive. Overall, while the internship didn’t fully meet my expectations in terms of hands-on involvement, I still value the supportive team and the insight I gained from being in that environment.

My internship in Japan was such a great experience that I’ll remember for the rest of my life! I got to spend 3 months there, and I had nothing to complain about. My accommodation was very nice, and all amenities were provided and restocked every week. The hotel was in a really good location, being a 5-minute walk from a station and a 20-minute walk from Dotonbori and Don Quixote. I had a lot of issues with money and family matters, and AIP was very helpful in placing me in my internship despite that. I never felt overworked during my internship, and I had plenty of time to explore Osaka and other parts of Japan. My coordinator, Airi, was so nice and helpful, as were Herlyn and Kate. I would definitely work with them again.
