I worked directly on live deals, financial modeling, and client due diligence, gaining experience that transcends textbooks. Go Abroad China provided seamless logistical support—from Z-visa sponsorship to professional housing—allowing me to focus entirely on performance and networking. This internship was more than a resume line; it was a career accelerator that provided the skills, confidence, and professional references essential for breaking into competitive finance roles.

Everyone can help. I discovered that when I spent two weeks in Senya-Beraku, helping the SMWEF and in turn, the lovely children in dire need of your help. Most of these two weeks were spent on building a wall. Despite how mundane this may sound, it was quite the opposite. Our coordinator, Tina, made sure that we were exposed to the local community in a very entertaining and safe fashion. This is certainly at the top of my list of things to recommend

The GIVE Elephant Experience was truly the greatest experience I have ever had! This trip was a long time coming for me and from the moment I booked it, GIVE was extremely helpful, thorough and always reassuring. When I arrived in Thailand I was greeted with amazing energy from P'Dee and felt welcome immediately. P'Ann and P'phon also always met you with a smile and open arms and I couldn't speak more highly of them! Cassidy, our 4th guide, was the kindest person you'll ever meet. She was so helpful throughout the trip and an amazing person to talk to. The guides were all so comforting and they made us laugh and smile each and everyday. My absolute favorite part of the trip was how hands on we got to be at the Elephant Freedom Village, it was life changing to experience feeding and bathing adult and baby elephants. Another favorite part of mine was the down time we had and the car rides where we got to interact and learn so much about al the other people in our group. I met so many different people and made some real friends for life. I loved that every person we met in Thailand had so much passion for their country, the elephants and life in general. The trip was so organized from start to finish and we were given a very thorough itinerary each day to follow so you knew exactly what to wear, what we were doing and exact times. I could go on and on with how amazing this trip was for me, I wish I could stay in Thailand forever! So thank you so much GIVE for giving me this opportunity, I hope to join another group in the future!

My semester at Fudan University was academically rigorous and incredibly effective. The teachers are top-tier, and the small class sizes ensured personalized attention. Living in Shanghai provided daily opportunities to practice what I learned in class, from markets to museums. The university's resources and reputation are outstanding. For a serious language student, this program delivers exceptional results and a deep cultural immersion.

Studying at Peking University was an intellectually transformative experience. The curriculum is demanding and expertly structured, pushing my Mandarin from intermediate to advanced proficiency. Professors are not only scholars but passionate guides to the language's nuance and history. Beyond the classroom, living in Beijing's dynamic heart provided constant, real-world practice. The university's prestige and resources, combined with full cultural immersion, make this program ideal for students seeking rigorous academic growth and a deep, authentic connection to China.

I’ve been taking Mandarin classes for one month, and it has been a really great experience. Learning the language is challenging, but also very fun. Everyone here is very kind and always willing to help, which makes the classes even better. I’d also like to thank my teachers, Jamie and Winnie — they are excellent professionals, very patient, and amazing at what they do. I’m really enjoying this experience. Learning Mandarin here has been a fun, challenging experience and I’ve really enjoyed!!!

It was an extraordinary experience. I am grateful for the opportunity to meet new people and cultures, as well as learn how to use various equipment and talk to expert professors in their fields. Life here is quite pleasant, the apartments offered are spacious and well-equipped. In addition, we have various recreational activities, many of which are free (such as the swimming pool and the gym).

I had the best time in Quepos , I made such great friends in my accommodation , but the main thing for me was the Spanish lessons , Marianela is the best Spanish teacher I have ever had , and I feel like I have learnt so much and my confidence has sky rocketed ! The team in Costa Rica are amazing too and couldn’t be more helpful. Thanks so much

I am looking forward to my Gap Year with United Planet in Switzerland. I hope to learn valuable skills, engage with the community, and experience Swiss culture while making a positive impact. I am excited to contribute and grow personally through this service-learning program.

During my internship at KAUST, I contributed to a project focused on developing more sustainable methods for chemical synthesis and purification, particularly for pharmaceutical applications. The work involved modifying an organic photocatalyst to allow easy recovery using organic solvent nanofiltration membranes, with the long-term goal of integrating photoredox reactions with continuous-flow processes. This approach reduces waste, avoids toxic metals, and improves efficiency—supporting cleaner and safer production of pharmaceutical compounds. Beyond the lab, the internship offered many opportunities to explore new experiences. I tried golf, climbing, and tennis for the first time, enjoyed the art studio where anyone can get creative with a variety of materials, and loved spending time at the beach. The program also organized events that enriched my cultural experience, such as an Arabic calligraphy workshop and visits to Al Balad and Jeddah, which allowed me to immerse myself in the local culture, learn more about the religion, and enjoy the diversity of nationalities on campus. I also discovered amazing local food, especially samboosa and kunafah. My advice for future interns: don’t forget to socialize — there is life beyond the lab!
