250-hour Level 5 TEFL Diploma with The TEFL Org

Thanks to this course I am now on track to teach English in Japan and start a new chapter in my life! The course is easy to follow and the way that it is sectioned allows you to easily work through it at your own pace.

The tutor kept sending feedbacks and me to rewriting my answers . He also asked me different questions from the ones that are on the system . They did all these to ensure that I wasn't using AI for my answers and I understood the questions very well.initally, I wasn't happy with the back and forth;but later, I realised that the back and forth process made me to understand the course very well more than I was studying

Coming from a country where English is spoken as a second language, yet where English is widely used as the primary language of business, I initially expected this programme to be relatively “easy.” However, once I started, I quickly realised that it was far more challenging than I had anticipated. Although challenging, I truly appreciated the rigour of the programme. It reinforced for me that if we aspire to teach English, we should first have a deep respect for the language and take pride in mastering it. The level of teaching and the expectations of the programme are what ultimately maintain its quality and credibility. As I progressed, the programme became increasingly manageable, particularly with the quizzes and assessments, which kept me engaged and motivated throughout the learning journey. Each component challenged me to apply what I had learned rather than simply acquire knowledge. Completing this programme has been a meaningful achievement and a valuable addition to my professional resume. As I prepare to enter the next chapter of my life — corporate retirement — I am grateful that I chose to undertake this journey. It has not only strengthened my confidence in the English language, but also reminded me that learning should never stop, regardless of where we are in our careers or lives. I am genuinely glad I did this programme, and I will carry what I have learned into the next chapter of my life.

Incredibly useful..Although I have been teaching for sometime it was a great refresher and addressed some areas I was weak on..Comprehensive and great dialogue/suggestions from the online tutor...I reccomend this for aspiring teachers or as a good refresher for those either experience.

Whilst tough for neuro diversity due to the shortness of word counts, overall a rewarding and great experience to help set up a future life - with great support throughout. Great brochures, handouts and ability to assist all learning styles to make sure you are fully prepared.

I decided to get TEFL certified because I have a genuine passion for teaching and helping children learn. As a homeschooling mom, I saw how important it is to make learning engaging, practical, and enjoyable rather than just completing worksheets. I wanted to gain professional skills in lesson planning, language development, and effective teaching methods so I could better support my own children and other learners. TEFL has given me the confidence and knowledge to create educational resources that help children build skills while developing a love for learning.

I have been a volunteer in a school for ladies in Tanzania for several years now. The students are on a one-year course which is free for them. However, due to visa restrictions volunteers are not allowed to stay in the country for more than 3 months. As a result I can only take part in a part of their schooling. Two major difficulties I find there: (1) The differences between US English and UK English. Most of the volunteers come from North America; and (2) A very rocky internet connection and occasional electricity cuts - certainly no interactive whiteboard or other connected resources. The coursebook (a hard copy for the teacher only, with photocopies made occasionally for students) is very out of date. I think that many of the games you have suggested will be very welcome and liven up the lessons enormously. As volunteers work together with Tanzanian (ex-student) teachers, any changes to their routine has to be done subtly. I will let you know how I get on when I get back from next year's visit. I had a positive experience with The TEFL Org course. As a teacher with more than 7 years of experience, I was already familiar with many of the concepts covered, but the course helped me refresh and organize my knowledge in a structured way. I love the courses so far. It really help me review and learn about my English skills. Also it was good to learn new methodology strategies and lesson planning that I didn’t know and that will support my work. A lot of knowledge to be taken from it and I feel rewarded of having done this.

I thoroughly enjoyed working my way through the Level 5 TEFL qualification. It has provided me with important information about the English language which I have not really covered since school. I now have a better understanding of the ways in which to manage classes depending on whether they are in-person, online, smaller or larger groups.

It was an amazing experience. I improved my teaching skills in an advanced level. This course helped me to design my teaching techniques better. I feel more confident to teach students. I have a masters in Education tech, and I teach ESL in my community as well as at a school I have in Honduras. Even so--This program enriched my ability to teach the English Language at a level I would not have guessed for an affordable program. Very comprehensive and accessible. Before I found TEFL I was exploring the idea of a post-graduate certification from a public university here in the states. 10K was too much. So thankful I found this program.

Love the fact that they actually want you to understand the information presented instead of just taking payment and giving you a nice grade. During the writing portion which I had to do over and over which i didn’t mind, meant you guys were actually checking and making sure I had a understanding of what i was learning. Many other online programs and courses just give you the grade this program makes you work think, and prepare you to be ready to take on a real class. If you were not ready before, you will be ready now.

Even though I have been teaching languages for over 30 years, the TEFL training program helped me refine my teaching with great advice concerning lesson planning, class management, and activities. I can't wait to apply for jobs overseas and see where my TEFL training leads me!

I enjoyed the course; however, the methodology course, the videos, and the work did not always match the end of the unit test. Also, the feedback from the tutor was difficult to complete; it felt like I had to fail, and I am not sure why it was made to make you fail the first time. I did learn a ALOT in the grammar unit, and even though it was a lot, it was eye-opening as a native English speaker.
