Living: The living situation was excellent and I think is a rare find compared to most study/intern abroad programs, especially because in other programs they'd probably charge you for a private studio. I'm currently studying abroad in Barcelona and I live in a dorm with a roommate, and I still think back to how good my living situation was in Berlin. I remember there being ample cooking utensils, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, not to mention it cam e with a flatscreen TV. I had queen bed and the bedroom was separate from the kitchen area. My current living space doesn't compare at all with my place in Berlin.. Like the if i wanted an apartment they wouldve charged me a large amount adn even then you share the apartment with 4 other people lol. So the berlin program had a top tier living situation. Work: This was my first internship, and I'm extremely grateful to this company for giving me the opportunity to work with them. My boss was extremely helpful and wanted to make sure we we're doing work that interests us, if we wanted to do more entreprenurial work or corporate finance/ accounting. I was impressed by the immense global reach of the company. I worked mainly in finance/accounting and most of the people I communicated with were based in the Netherlands or South Africa. A lot of the finance infrastructure was in Dutch, but using the translating tool, it was always easy to navigate.. towards the end I stopped using the translation tool and I really ended up learning a lot of Dutch finance terms. I always enjoyed socializing/ networking with other people in the office. They were very helpful and communicative, especially at the very beginning. I learned so much from them and my supervisors and working in an international environment. Now I feel more confident in the professional space and working in a team. The only complaint I have is that a clear work schedule was not specified with me and the other finance interns at the beginning, however, we soon found out and apologized for the misunderstanding. We understood to be there at 10am, we just didnt have communication or anything in writing, as to when the work day ended at first. Activities: I enjoyed the tours and group trips, great way to get to know better the city and rest of the country. I really enjoyed the Warnemunde trip. I wish I had gone on the Poland or Czechia trips. But I really enjoyed how accessible the nature was in and around Berlin. One of my favorite things to do was go hang out by a lake, which Berlin has many of and is great to do on a hot summer day. If I were to suggest another activity.. maybe a bike tour around Berlin. Or a group tour of some of the DDR sites- I loved visiting the DDR museum and all the remnants of that era. I really enjoyed my time. Hope to visit again.
My time in Berlin was amazing, I got exposed to new cultures and ideas as well as getting valuable and relevant work experience. AIFS connected me with incredible mentors who helped me grow personally and professionally as well as organized cultural outings to show me the unique experiences Berlin has to offer.
I lived in Madrid for 10 weeks and was astounded by the culture of Spain and its diversity! Sage Corps helped me get to experience the wonders of traveling abroad as a college student and be able to intern abroad! They were very supportive and led us in many group activities to interact with local experiences.
Amazing program! You feel really immersed in the country's culture, and it was an amazing use of time between sophomore and freshman year! The workplace environment helped my spanish immensely. It is fantastic!
Being a part of the Sage Corps cohort on and after the trip has been such a valuable part of my personal and professional growth. With a diverse group of students from all around North America, you learn to navigate the challenges and successes of your job and develop cultural awareness. So grateful for my experience with Sage Corps.
I stayed two months at the Excellence Center between June and July, which was perfect timing between large cohorts. Everybody who works at the center is lovely. Rafat is welcoming, friendly, and diplomatic, and does everything to help volunteers enjoy their experience and for refugees and migrants to settle safely. Doushan handles background operations, and is a hilarious, cheerful person. It's truly a pleasure when he joins everyone for lunch or subs in for Rafat. Muaz was my Arabic teacher and helps to run just about everything in the Center. He's a well-known figure in the local community thanks to providing free translation help for refugees and migrants between German, Arabic, and English, and supports legislative change for anti-racism in Halle. He introduced me to some wonderful, kind people who became good friends, and was a phenomenal Arabic teacher. I arrived with a bare knowledge of the alphabet, and Muaz taught me everything until I passed the A2 level in about 5 weeks. I enjoyed teaching English so much, though I loved my Arabic classes more. I taught three students from ages 8 to 30 with varying English proficiency. A lot of people are intimidated by choosing what to teach and how, but I liked making up lessons and games for my students. My advice is to use lots of color-coding, prioritize conversation (at the correct level), and try to enjoy the experience. People learn best when they're connecting with you, rather than being lectured. The accommodations are nice enough for a short stay or an able bodied person, but they get somewhat cramped during July and August, when the majority of people visit. I recommend spending at least a month at the Center if you're able to, though I truly wanted upwards of three months. We went on trips to Leipzig, Berlin, or nearby cities, toured Halle, had picnics, and spent a day with a class of international art students. A local Syrian gentleman taught us basics of violin, Rafat taught us how to cook some Palestinian, Syrian, or Saudi Arabian meals, and another friend tried teaching us Dabke (traditional Palestinian dance). You'll spend a lot of time outside in Halle, and hopefully a lot of time meeting new people. Give this experience as much as you can (and go see Muaz's concerts!) (Doushan, if you're seeing this, hello! I did the review! Sorry it took so long!!!!)

I had such a great experience with Sage Corps this summer in Amsterdam. Going into the program, I was really excited about the opportunity to intern abroad, but I honestly ended up getting so much more out of the experience than I expected. I was able to work with a startup in Amsterdam and gain real experience in sales, business development, marketing, and working in an international environment. I learned a ton professionally, but I also grew a lot personally. Living in a new country for two months definitely pushed me outside of my comfort zone at times, and I feel like I came home much more confident, independent, and open-minded because of it. One of my favorite parts of Sage Corps was also the people. I met so many great people from different schools and backgrounds, made some really close friends, and loved having a group of people to experience Amsterdam with. The events Sage Corps put together were always fun, and it was also really nice having people from the program in Amsterdam who were there to support us throughout the summer. I’m extremely grateful that I had the opportunity to be a part of Sage Corps. It gave me an amazing internship experience, great friendships, and memories from Amsterdam that I’ll honestly never forget. I would definitely recommend the program to anyone who wants to gain meaningful work experience while also pushing themselves to try something new and experience living abroad.

My summer in Spain with SageCorps was truly a dream come true. Getting to live in Europe for a summer (my dream) and gain valuable professional experience with a local travel company, I never imagined it would be possible. I got the opportunity to work for a travel company in their partner experience and brand design department while soaking up summer in Barcelona. Throughout the entire summer, the SageCorps team made sure we felt supported and got the most out of our time abroad. They planned several group activities that allowed our cohort to explore Barcelona and experience all the excitement the city has to offer. My favorite was our day trip to Sitges, a beautiful beach town just outside the city. I will forever be grateful for this experience!

My Sage Corps experience in Barcelona was one of the most meaningful experiences of my college career. The program gave me the opportunity to live and work abroad while gaining hands-on experience at a startup, where I worked on sales, business development, outreach, research, content creation, and marketing projects. I appreciated that I was given real responsibilities and the opportunity to explore different areas of the company, which helped me better understand my professional strengths and interests. Sage Corps also did a great job creating opportunities for us to experience Barcelona beyond our internships. Our City Managers, Pamela and Mikel, were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout the program. They gave us great recommendations, made the scheduled events fun, and most importantly made me feel safe while living abroad. They organized a variety of activities and excursions for our cohort throughout the program, including visits to Mirador Torre Glòries, Park Güell, and a day trip to Sitges, just to name a few. These experiences gave us the chance to explore more of Barcelona, learn about the culture, and make memories together outside of work. Living abroad challenged me to become more independent, adaptable, and confident. I returned home with new professional skills, meaningful friendships, unforgettable memories, and a clearer sense of what I want from my future career. I would absolutely recommend Sage Corps to students who want international work experience while also immersing themselves in a new culture.

My experience with Sage Corps was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had in college. I interned in Madrid, Spain, as a Business Development and Sales Intern, where I worked on customer outreach, sales, market research, social media, and client relationships. One of the biggest things I gained was learning how to adapt to a new culture. At first, I struggled with the different communication styles in Spain, but over time I became more comfortable and learned how important it is to be open-minded and adaptable. I also loved the experiences outside of my internship, especially the Toledo trip, group dinners, and Bernabeu Tour. Getting to explore Spain while meeting other students made the experience even more memorable. I would highly recommend Sage Corps because it gives you the chance to gain real professional experience while immersing yourself in another culture. It pushed me outside of my comfort zone and helped me grow both personally and professionally.

I had a great time in Berlin! I got to experience living on my own for the first time in a brand new city. Learn how to use public transportation, save money, take care of myself, and learn new things from my internship.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, Madison! We’re so glad to hear that your time in Berlin gave you the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally while gaining practical experience in marketing and analytics. We loved having you as part of our Berlin community and hope the skills, lessons and experiences from your summer abroad continue to support you throughout your studies and future career. Wishing you all the best with whatever comes next!
Berlin is an amazing city. The Base, where we lived, was very comfortable. Beyond was great at having activities and initiating meet ups with the other interns. I loved the atmosphere of Berlin. I felt that it had a very gritty, artistic vibe to it which I really enjoyed.
Thank you so much for the lovely review, Britton! We’re so glad to hear that you had such an amazing summer in Berlin and that we were able to connect you with an internship that aligned well with your studies and gave you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the Berlin real estate market. It’s also great to hear that you enjoyed your accommodation and made the most of everything Berlin has to offer outside of your internship. It really is such a fun and unique city to spend a summer in! We loved having you as part of our Berlin community and hope you’re taking home plenty of new skills, memories and experiences from your time abroad. Wishing you all the best with your studies and whatever comes next!

Trip was great, would definitely recommend other people to travel to Rotterdam. Both our country coordinators were great. They were responsive and showed us around the city. I liked our housing situation too, as it was in a great part of the city.
Program: The Global Consulting Program: From University to Consulting
I had such an amazing time doing an internship in Rotterdam for three weeks this summer! Going abroad was an amazing experience and getting to experience it with the help of two amazing guides from WeFind group made it so special!
Program: The Global Consulting Program: From University to Consulting
My time in rotterdam was truly amazing. I got to explore so many different cities surrounding rotterdam, as well as take the full beauty of rotterdam itself. We find group was amazing and provided two students that lived in the area that we were staying, and they showed us around and immediately welcomed us into the city. The relationships we formed with the students was truly amazing and they will forever now be our friends. Carlota was amazing through we find group. She was always very prompt with her responses and was always supporting us throughout the process. She went above and beyond to provide us materials to enhance our project delivery.

Program: The Global Consulting Program: From University to Consulting
My trip to Rotterdam is one I will never forget!! I was placed at an amazing company where I learned a lot and had great experiences. My time outside of work was amazing, I had the best in-country coordinators that made sure we were always safe and having a great time.
Program: The Global Consulting Program: From University to Consulting
I had an awesome time in Spain. Not only was the size of the group perfect, but any time we had any questions, our host would be very responsive. The work itself was great, as we got experience working on real problems that these companies have.
Program: The Global Consulting Program: From University to Consulting
I had an amazing trip with so many new memories and friends! Blanca was absolutely amazing and so helpful. Madrid was gorgeous and would love to go back. My internship was not the best experience but those feelings have been brought up.
Program: The Global Consulting Program: From University to Consulting
I enjoyed very much the city of Madrid. Blanca and Cata did amazing in helping us learn the city, and they are awesome people! I met Carlota once during my presentation, and she was very nice and helpful! The location of Fuencarral was not the best because it was far from most places in the city, and there is not very much around the area. I was also upset with the disrespectful attitude of my boss at BIP. But on the other hand, multiple other workers at BIP were very nice and made the workplace environment so much better!
Program: The Global Consulting Program: From University to Consulting
These past 3 weeks have been an amazing experience for me! Blanca Cata Carlotta and Paula made my travel and time so much easier and fun! I will definitely miss it. I do wish the accommodation was closer to the city area as getting food was hard. Other than that 10/10 for everything else!
