Work alongside passionate marine biologists and gain hands-on experience monitoring marine species and collecting critical data while cruising along the coast. Tasks include studying marine species, promoting conservation, and monitoring maritime traffic, with activities varying by season. Explore and conserve Barcelona’s diverse coastal ecosystem while volunteering with the Catalan Federation of scuba diving and marine preservation. Become PADI Open Water certified and/or enhance your current dive skills with select PADI training. Immerse yourself in an authentic Barcelona experience outside tourist circuits and build lifelong friendships with like-minded volunteers. Duties include trash removal and seabed cleanup, data collection on native species, and local biodiversity assessment. Volunteers joining in the summer months can also assist in camps for disadvantaged children, organizing workshops on the sea and the environment.
