Conservation Volunteering in Salamanca, Spain

You will spend four weeks to 12 weeks in Barcelona, allowing you to understand why it receives a huge influx of tourists each year. Ranking as Spain’s second-largest city, it boasts a vibrant ambiance and rich history. There will never be a boring moment in Barcelona, what with tons of activities waiting to be experienced! Participate in events and festivals or immerse in cultural artworks in exhibits. Of course, don’t miss going to one (or all!) of Barcelona’s best beaches; and there are a lot! It is not called the world’s second-best beach city for nothing. While you’re at it, check out surrounding restaurants, markets, shops, and other businesses.

Located in northwest Spain, the beautiful city of Salamanca is known for its charming plazas, stunning churches, and diverse student population. We work in diverse service fields, and throughout your program, you will participate in various reflection-based assignments to add depth to your experiences. Our goal is to help you gain a better understanding of the local language, culture, and community. This all-in-one semester begins with one month traveling Spain by train, followed by two months in Barcelona where you choose your pathway. You’ll build soft skills (communication, confidence, problem-solving), hard skills (Spanish, digital tools, cooking), and leadership abilities focused on positive impact. Choose one of three pathways: - The Internship Pathway offers full-time hands-on experience, real projects, and strong hours for future credit or professional goals. - The Entrepreneurship Pathway combines a part-time internship with entrepreneurship labs, mentorship, and Spanish classes, ending in a Shark Tank–style pitch. - The Special Interest Pathway lets you blend part-time internship, volunteering, and classes, or focus fully on volunteering plus Spanish or creative electives.
