Construction Internships in Thailand

I interned in Bangkok at a law firm, I had a great relationship with my colleagues and they were very friendly and welcoming. The intern group was also great, they provided airport pickup and arranged weekly excursions for the inters, which were always exciting. I loved the city and the internship allowed me to see a side of Bangkok tourist usually don't get the opportunity to see. I loved the experience and would definitely do it again.

I had a 6 week, software engineering internship in Bangkok. The experience was great and well directed by the intern group, the accommodation was fantastic and the weekly excursions were very fun, the excursions allowed me to dive into the culture and explore Bangkok. My host organisation was an international real estate company, I worked in the business technology department and had a great experience, my colleagues and boss were very welcoming and communication wasn't an issue. Overall the experience was great and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get experience. It has greatly improved my success when applying for jobs after graduation too.

Working in Bangkok through The Intern Group was truly an amazing experience. I interned at an international law firm and worked on many projects, but the personal growth I experienced was what truly stayed with me. Being able to live and work in Thailand pushed me far outside of my comfort zone, with any international trip you have to adapt to a new country, new people, a new culture, and a completely different environment. The biggest impact came when I returned home. Having to go back to my normal routines made me realize just how much I had changed. I came back more confident, independent, open-minded and much more aware of what I wanted from life. I started questioning the things I had accepted simply because they were familiar and became more comfortable letting go of people, environments, and routines that were no longer making me happy. It genuinely felt like I had closed one chapter of my life and walked into a completely new one. I would recommend The Intern Group to anyone who is willing to challenge themselves and experience something completely outside of their normal life. you may go into it expecting an internship, but you just might come back realizing that you are capable of so much more than you thought. For me, Thailand didn't just give me work experience, it gave me a new perspective on my life and the courage to start building towards the future I actually want.

My internship abroad was an experience I will always remember. Living and working in Bangkok gave me the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone, experience a different environment, and learn how to adapt to a new workplace and culture. During my internship, I gained valuable hands-on experience in IT and had the chance to work on different tasks and projects, which helped me improve both my technical and problem-solving skills. I also learned a lot from the people I worked with and enjoyed getting to know a new team. Outside of work, living abroad helped me become more independent and confident. There were definitely some challenges along the way, but they made the experience even more meaningful. Overall, I am very grateful for this opportunity and the memories, skills, and friendships I gained throughout my time abroad.

My experience in Thailand has been so fun! I got to see a lot of the major temples and sites that are a must visit. I made many friends with the other interns here. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They helped me with any questions I had or anything in general. Overall my experience was amazing, 10/10 would recommend to anyone on the fence about it! I would even come back if I could!

Personally, though, my experience with the TIG has been so much positive. Their team was always responsive and supportive throughout the whole process. They helped me a lot to prepare for mock interviews pre-interview with the host company, organised CV workshops and seminars and even ran cultural sessions that brought me closer to a better idea of what living and interning abroad would actually be like before i arrived. They also helped me with accommodation, my visa process and answered pretty much every question i had along the way. What I actually do appreciate the most is how supportive the Bangkok Intern Group has been. Whenever I need help whether it was with exchanging money, accommodation, or if any issues came up with work, they are always there to help and respond quickly. I would definitely say this experience has been worth all.

I absolutely loved my summer in Bangkok with Beyond Academy. It was really interesting to learn about Thai culture from just walking to the BTS station and talking to locals. It is very humid in Bangkok and be prepared to sweat a lot but it is worth it! The food in Thailand is delicious, my personal favorite was the Thai Basil Rice (you can clarify your spice levels). I also highly suggest to travel to other places in Thailand/South East Asia while you are there. I went to Phuket, Ko Samet (beaches) and Chang Mai (more mountains/rural).

My internship abroad was an amazing experience that helped me grow both personally and professionally. I gained valuable work experience, learned how to adapt to a new environment, and met people from different cultures. Living abroad also made me more independent and confident. I’m grateful for the opportunity and would definitely recommend this program to anyone looking to develop new skills, experience another culture, and create unforgettable memories.

Living and working on the other side of the world in a completely different culture is not the easiest thing in the world. Beyond Academy made this transition as smooth as possible, and made sure that I was safe and accounted for frequently throughout my two months there.

It definitely opened new opportunities and was a very rewarding experience. AIP made the whole process much easier by organizing the internship placement and arranging accommodation before my arrival. The apartment was in a great location, making it easy to get to work and explore the city. Whenever I had questions or needed support, Nisha, Herlyn and Kate from the community management team were always kind and happy to help. Overall, I had a very positive experience. Having AIP take care of the practical arrangements allowed me to focus on making the most of my internship and my time in Bangkok.

I have good experience with AIP during the summer. I learned and network a lot through the company. Good experince with AIP, had a wonderful overseas internship experience at Thailand. Staff was helpful and accomodating. Prompt responses and helpful, especially with my special requests. Highlight of the trip was being able to hang out with people from other countries. There was also many company trips which I thought was a very fun experience. I have always wanted to come to Thailand and experience the culture, and I think it was an eventful experience to be able to have this opportunity. Thank you for the support.

Got to do an internship in Bangkok, Thailand. Biggest city I've ever lived in and first time working in person for a company and I was never stressed. Beyond really helps you every step of the way with finding an internship, housing, and then hosting events throughout the internship so you can meet other interns! My favorite part of this experience was getting so many opportunities to talk to and learn from local people so I always had someone I could ask for recommendations of things to do. We had a paid for trip to another city for a week and my boss took everyone out to dinner and to different activities after work and it was a lot of fun and a great look into the Thai work and social culture.

AIP got me the internship i was looking for, and in such a short time frame they found the company and the position i was looking for. This help me tremendously not just my gaining the experience, but also this allowed me to achieve my academic requirements as well.

My internship in Bangkok through AIP was an incredible experience, and I’m very grateful for everything the team did to make it possible. From the beginning, the AIP staff were friendly, responsive, and always willing to answer questions throughout the placement process. Moving to a new countrywas intimidating, but having a local team available made a huge difference. They organized a welcome event where I met other interns before starting work, which was a great way to build connections and feel comfortable in a new environment. Living and working in Bangkok was an unforgettable experience. Beyond gaining valuable professional experience during my internship, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in Thai culture, meet people from around the world, and explore the city. Fortunately, my internship went very smoothly, so I rarely needed additional support, but having that local network gave me peace of mind throughout my stay. I would highly recommend AIP to any student interested in completing an international internship.

My experience may be somewhat unique as the only real support I needed was help securing a placement, not the fuller range AIP typically offers. I worked with AIP through my university, and the staff were great, especially Tyler, who was quick to communicate and support me throughout. Early on there was some misalignment with my placement, requiring a fair amount of back-and-forth to resolve. I also wish there'd been more transparency upfront about program accommodations, details, and health benefits. Specifically, I wish I'd known what the insurance plans actually covered, so I would've felt more comfortable going to the doctor or navigating the city if needed. AIP claims to offer this kind of support, but I never used it, needed it, or even knew the details of what was available. Beyond helping kick off conversations with partners early, I'm not sure how much added value AIP provided in my case, but it was reassuring to have a support community there just in case. Worth it for a student coming in independently who needs support and planning help. Less clear whether it's worth it for a university.

I was so incredibly fortunate to be accepted into AIP’s internship program. The people at AIP were extremely accommodating and kind and helped me navigate my way through a new country. They provided me with accommodation and a host company where I worked full-time at for 6 weeks. I spent my internship in Bangkok, and it was an amazing experience of learning, doing new things and exploring. My internship experience in Bangkok, Thailand was an incredibly rewarding experience that I will always remember. It gave me the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to the civil and structural engineering industry while experiencing a completely different work environment and culture. Throughout the internship, I learnt not only technical engineering knowledge, but also how professional engineers communicate, collaborate, solve problems, and manage projects in a real workplace. Seeing how engineering concepts from university are applied to actual projects has given me a much clearer understanding of the profession and has strengthened my confidence in pursuing a career as a structural engineer. The AIP team made the entire process smooth and stress-free from beginning to end. My account manager, Jeff Oo, organised all of the required documents and guided me through each step, making the application and preparation process straightforward. My community managers, Nisha Shahi, Herlyn Jarder, and Kate Myat Noe were also incredibly supportive throughout the internship. I especially appreciated Nisha organising a welcome dinner before work began, which allowed all of the Bangkok interns to meet each other and settle in before starting our placements. She also kindly walked me to my workplace on my first day, making it much easier to navigate an unfamiliar city and helping me feel comfortable from the very beginning. The accommodation arranged by AIP was in a convenient location close to my workplace, making the daily commute simple and allowing me to focus on getting the most out of the internship. Whenever I had questions, whether about purchasing a SIM card, transportation, or everyday life in Bangkok, the AIP team was always approachable and quick to help. The pre-departure meeting was also extremely useful, providing practical advice on local services, cultural differences, and things to be aware of before arriving in Thailand. Overall, this internship exceeded my expectations. I gained valuable professional experience, improved my communication and organisational skills, learnt how engineers work together in industry, and developed a greater appreciation for working in an international environment. I am very grateful to AIP for their continuous support throughout the entire journey and would highly recommend the program to any student looking for an overseas internship experience.
