Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between an internship and volunteering?

Both interns and volunteers participate in the same daily activities and receive the same learning experience. Internships (recommended minimum of 4 weeks) also have the opportunity to develop an independent sustainability or regenerative living project under staff mentorship.

Do I need previous experience?

No. SSLP is open to participants from all backgrounds. Whether you're new to sustainability or already have experience, the programme is designed to meet you where you are. Curiosity, openness, and a willingness to learn are the only requirements.

What kinds of activities will I take part in?

Activities vary throughout the programme and may include regenerative agriculture, natural building with earth and bamboo, ecological restoration, sustainable food systems, environmental education, community engagement, yoga, breathwork, mindful movement, meditation, and nature-based wellbeing practices.

Is this programme focused on personal wellbeing or sustainability?

Both. SSLP is built on the idea that healthy people, healthy communities, and healthy ecosystems are interconnected. The programme combines practical sustainability skills with wellbeing practices to foster resilience, self-awareness, and systems thinking.

Who is this programme suitable for?

SSLP is ideal for students, graduates, professionals, and anyone interested in sustainability, regenerative living, personal growth, education, community development, or simply exploring a more balanced and purposeful way of living. No specific academic background is required.
