Meaningful Internship Journey
May 23, 2026by: Gregoire O. - FranceThis internship abroad was a very positive and enriching experience that allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. I had the opportunity to develop new skills while strengthening those I already had, in a supportive and encouraging environment. Being in an international setting helped me become more adaptable, independent, and open to new perspectives. I also improved my communication and organization skills, which I found especially valuable. One of the most important aspects was how much it broadened my vision, giving me a better understanding of different ways of working and thinking. It encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone and gain confidence in unfamiliar situations. At the same time, the overall experience remained balanced and enjoyable, making it both rewarding and motivating. This internship has helped me clarify my goals and has given me a stronger sense of direction for the future. I am grateful to InternMexico for helping me find this opportunity and making the process smooth and accessible. I would highly recommend an experience like this to anyone looking to learn and expand their horizons.
Summer in Madrid
August 05, 2025by: Alex Carlton - United StatesProgram: Spring & Summer Internships in Spain and Latin America
Having studied in Madrid the previous semester I really wanted to come back and have a different type of work experience during the summer. I enjoyed the laid back environment of my internship with Fundación Tríangulo yet I gained valuable insight about public health and sexual health in Spain, among many other skills which will benefit my future career/studies. I did enjoy the centrality of our apartment but it was quite small, I know this is normal for Madrid, but I we did not exactly have private living spaces. I really love Madrid and the availability of outdoor activities, shopping, diverse food choices, the kind people, nightlife, and much more. It will stay in my heart forever, the memories, friends, education and work experience, and I hope to return soon.
Summer in Barcelona
August 20, 2024by: Maia Brombart - United StatesProgram: Internships & Study Abroad in Spain & Latin America
I spent the summer in Barcelona shadowing psychologists at an assisted living residence. My coworkers were kind and helpful, and the patients were charming and sweet. The local program advisor was very helpful to me and my friends in the program anytime we needed anything. I also completed 2 weeks of Spanish classes prior to my internship. My Spanish improved tremendously, as did my professional skills. I feel that this program exceeded my expectations and helped to prepare me for a career in psychology. In addition to this, Barcelona was just an incredible city with so much life and character--I never ran out of things to do or places to see.
Experience of a Lifetime!
July 02, 2024by: Sophia Bitner - United StatesProgram: Internships & Study Abroad in Spain & Latin America
I had an incredible experience with Adelante Abroad in Barcelona. I did a gap year after high school and had the time of my life. The team gave me lots of support leading up to my departure. Someone came and picked me up from the airport and toke me to my accommodation which was in a very central, safe area! The Spanish school was great and I made lots of friends which I stayed close to for my whole time in Barcelona. My internship itself was better than I could have ever asked for. The office was incredible and I loved the team I worked with. I learned new skills and I met people that will become lifelong friends. Overall, I truly had the experience of a lifetime. Barcelona has become a second home to me and I could not be more grateful for my time there! 10/10 experience and highly recommend.
I met some of the most incredible people, that I can call friends for the rest of my life!
May 11, 2024by: Yosajandy Bouslog - United StatesProgram: International Internship Programs with Adelante Abroad
I enjoyed my time in Barcelona very much. I was ecstatic to get there and start. When I first started it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. Nonetheless, I enjoyed every minute of it. I have made some dear friends. I can say I will be back in Barcelona. I would recommend Adelante. Without them, none of this would have been possible. Spain in general is beautiful, but Barcelona has to be my favorite. It has everything. From mountains, oceans, beaches, forests, etc. They have the cold, breezy weather and the hot, humid weather.
Would highly recommend!
January 03, 2022by: Jennifer Glancey - United KingdomProgram: Internships & Study Abroad in Spain & Latin America
I did a legal internship in Oaxaca for three months with Adelante and it exceeded my expectations. I met the best people and lived in a great location with a kind host family and the best internship placement. My spanish has definitely improved thanks to the spanish lessons at the beginning as well as all the other people I met including those at my internship who were very patient and taught me a lot of legal and complex terms. If you are independent and enjoy exploring the city and having great opportunities for cultural immersion and meeting new people this is definitely a great program and excellent value for money. It really helped with my university application and I will definitely be returning to Oaxaca!

My first trip abroad
December 19, 2020by: Cherry Lastimosa - MyanmarThis is my first trip abroad. and it is for an internship on hospitality and tourism. I heard Mexico is a good place for such things and I'm right. I was assigned at the front desk of a hotel and the co-workers with me are nice and professional. I saw how they handled concerns, no matter how petty, with such grace and confidence. I aspire to be just like them.

To tell u honestly i would suggest this to everyone My regular duties and responsibilities as a finance intern are generating and entering data, preparing statements, analyzing reports, and taking notes during meetings..... One of the meetings to which we are allowed to sit in include a Japanese government official and Japanese policies..... I am amazed how well-versed business people are....... They are not just good at numbers, they are also good in speaking Nihonggo!
Perfect IT internship + travelling
November 05, 2020by: Luke Hardman - United StatesAs an IT student, this internship was perfect for me. I get to learn more about computer systems from a different country, and get to travel also! It was hitting two birds with one stone. This was my first time to leave my country; hence, I was nervous to go at first. Yet, IGS assured me that I am well taken care of, and that they will help me attain my fullest potential. IGS fulfilled their promise, and I thank them for that.
Weekend trips!!!
October 29, 2020by: Allan Schwimmer - United StatesProgram: Finance Internships (Business) | IGS
Aside from the hands-on experience we are acquiring, I treasure the friendships I gained along the way. We did a lot of weekend trips and excursions, and discovered the cultures and traditions of Auckland. Two important components of this internship are being open to experiences and being positive all the time. Our IGS mentors always encouraged us to enjoy the learning process of life and finance. Some of them even gave love advices! It was fun looking back what we did on our days off.

Looking forward to another internship
October 29, 2020by: Amjelee Keyser - CanadaWell, I was an intern on the second track, where we worked for smaller professional organizations, and I was assigned to an organization that caters to ecotourism and environmental conservation. We are assigned to their IT department and assisted them in all the functions that allow them to effectually communicate with their clients. My desired country for this internship was Hawaii, and it was fulfilled!!!! I wish I could go on an internship again, but in a different country next time. Looking forward to it! Please accept me again, IGS :)
Prepared us for the real deal
October 29, 2020by: Daniel Bowman - United StatesInformation Systems, Technology, Computer Science, and Business are my main fields of interest. In my recently-concluded internship with IGS, I acquired valuable real-world experiences, not just book theories.. IGS realy prepared us 4 the actual practice of IT, considering that we also received a Letter of Recommendation upon successful program completion. Thank you very much, IGS. I am eternally grateful.
My accounting background was quite useful
October 14, 2020by: Fidel Stelar - UkraineProgram: Finance Internships (Business) | IGS
My co-interns and I are given hands-on responsibilities in a real work setting. My accounting background was quite useful here, but my fellow interns who are just new to this are also able to cope up. Working for a large financial firm will surely be an edge when I apply for another job later this year.
Forever grateful
October 14, 2020by: Stella Romualdez - SpainProgram: Finance Internships (Business) | IGS
Since I am a business major, I found this finance internship a piece of gem. We worked with a range of clients from all over the world. I was assigned as an associate to a prominent financial planner in Paris, and I loved her so much! She gladly accepted my proposal to include her in my Character Reference, and I am in awe on how immediate she approves of it. She even gave me a tour of Paris on our days-off. I am forever grateful, IGS!
My inner computer nerd was jumping for joy
October 14, 2020by: Jamal Singh - IndiaDuring my IGS internship, we learned about computer softwares and hardwares – my main interests and passions! I also acquired additional knowledge on data constructs and communication strategies - great additions to my stock knowledge. I was under the first track for the interns and we solved the IT needs of large businesses and firms. It was challenging at the start but I liked that we survived it anyway. My inner computer nerd was jumping for joy!
My dream to be an associate of a top robotics firm came true
October 14, 2020by: Jordan Chapman - United KingdomWorking with Mr. Smith was the most remarkable experience for me. I never knew my dream to be an associate of a top robotics firm would come true! The housing, setup, airport pickup, pre-trip reader, and office support are all provided by IGS, which makes our lives hassle-free. All we need to think about is how to enjoy and learn from our internship.
The amount of responsibility I am given
May 23, 2020by: Henry D.The coolest part of working at the Virtual Reality Studio is the amount of responsibility I am given. From Day One they trained me to be a Game Master. I do the same job that the owner of the company does. First I introduce clients to the rules of the game and how the equipment works. Then comes the neat part. I monitor the mainframe computer when the participants are playing. On my screen, I see what the players see. If the players are on Mars and they can’t find a tool they need, I give them a hint. My job is to keep the game moving along and allow the players to feel challenge, but give tips when they are frustrated.
