Provider: The TEFL Academy
Program: Online Level 3 TEFL Course
The TEFL Academy course provides an excellent foundation for aspiring English teachers who want to build a rewarding career abroad. Through this course, many of the teachers we have recruited at GrowGreen English Center have developed the essential knowledge, practical skills, and confidence needed to begin their teaching journeys in Vietnam. We have been fortunate to recruit many high-quality teachers who completed this course and demonstrated strong teaching potential, enthusiasm, and a genuine commitment to helping students learn. We particularly value the way the course prepares teachers for the classroom by equipping them with a solid understanding of teaching methodologies, lesson planning, classroom management, and student engagement. These skills are especially important when working with young learners and students with different levels of English proficiency. From our recruitment experience, graduates of The TEFL Academy have provided us with a strong pool of candidates who are well-prepared to adapt to new teaching environments and grow professionally. We appreciate the role the course plays in helping aspiring teachers develop the foundation they need to succeed in international teaching opportunities, particularly in Vietnam.

I did my second trip with TFT to Italy, Switzerland, and France and it couldn't have been better!! TFT's trips create a really open yet safe environment- giving us freedom in safe areas to feel like locals while having structured tours of important sites. They created a really awesome environment that allowed me to make quick friends with the other kids on the trip. If you're able to do a trip with TFT, definitely do it. I have memories that will stick with me forever!

I spent 2 weeks in Beihai (北海)this summer studying Chinese and it was one of the best classes I've ever had. The teacher and the school absolutely listened to what I wanted and needed - as I studied Chinese in university my level is high enough to qualify for single class only and my wish was to train my speaking ability again and to revise a lot! And that's what we did - 4h of speaking Chinese every day! In addition I really liked the overall atmosphere at the school, the staff are all very kind and fun, organizing activities for the students and helping them whenever they have any questions or needs. Additionally, I had a lovely homestay and got close to the family members in it. I feel very grateful for them and for how warmly they welcomed me into their home. In terms of location - the school is located conveniently in the city center. Beihai is not a big city, so public transportation is a bit of a hassle but it's still manageable even for those who don't dare to rent an e-Scooter (like me, lol). You will be able to enjoy a nice beach with seaside, seafood and other local specialities there. :-)

So happy to hear you had a great time with us and thanks for sharing the great pictures too :) We loved having you in Beihai and you made some excellent progress in just two weeks! Keep it up. Best wishes, LTL Team
The Voluntours program is small but they do a great job of networking to provide a balanced experience, including two hours of Spanish class per day, involvement with local educational programs in school and prison environments, and even an animal shelter (though I didn’t get to that one). They gave us great recommendations for things they didn’t provide directly: the nearby salsa class was great!

What a place! I couldn’t recommend more. If I had the time, I would stay here for months and will definitely be coming back without a doubt, already trying to plan when I can return. The most heartwarming ethical untoursity volunteering you can do. The foundations are Colombian founded and really support the children and adults in the country I fell in love with both Bucaramanga, the people and the foundations.

Thanks to the CHE Association, I was able to participate in a week of volunteering where I literally worked on open construction sites. All their projects aim to create and/or reclaim spaces for the community and those most in need. I mixed concrete by hand, knocked down walls with a mallet, painted the facade of a homeless shelter. But above all, I experienced wonderful moments of sharing and bonding with people who, in that moment, were all committed to helping create something beautiful! I meet amazing people who made me feel welcomed

Provider: Expanish
Program: Study Abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina - Summer Session
Argentina was a wonderful experience, and a lot of that had to do with Expanish and their staff. Jio and Belu were absolutely wonderful, Franco was a great spanish teacher, and everyone else I interacted with from Expanish was amazing and super willing to help with anything needed.
It was incredibly an enriching experience to gain hands-on experience in conservation work from the field activities especially in the reserves that protect important landscape and biodiversity. The staffs where supportive and easy to work for time I was there...Though interms of technicality as far as conservation work is concerned, it was lacking and would love if technical qualified personnels who are knowledgeable about conservation and has understanding of biodiversity of local area to be stationed in the reserves where the field work are done to offer guidance and help in technical aspects. The pre departure communication is excellent but it's quite different once at the site and I think this could be improved by having weekly reports assignments and reports and should be followed closely.. The health can be improved in especially in the reserves where atleast a medical personnel assigned during periods of field works to provide emergency services incase of accidents..

At the start, I asked so many questions (maybe 10) by email to Study-TEFL before I was willing to pay any money (even with paypal), but they responded, and not with AI made responses (you know when you get AI responses because it's the big long dashes and joyless language). So, the responses encouraged me to take a chance on this company: I'm glad I did. Everything is legit and detailed, but I actually wonder how many thousands of people must get trained here for them to make any real money. They give so much guidance and free stuff at the end of the course. My opinion about this company is glowing. What they offer is fantastic.

Working with AIP was a great experience! AIP helped me locate an internship in Tainan, Taiwan. On the weekdays I received hands-on experience with my company, and on the weekends I adventured. My accommodations were right in the heart of the city, which made sampling Tainan’s cafe and food scene very convenient! I also had the opportunity to partake in mid-autumn festival. Enjoying mooncakes and pomelos under a bright night sky was unforgettable memory. I made so many meaningful experiences and connections from this trip, and I really appreciate AIP’s dedicated team for helping me along the way.

Becoming a doctor has always been a serious ambition of mine, and starting Pre-Med at NAU in September made that ambition feel much more tangible. I am pleased to have an opportunity to strengthen my scientific knowledge and prepare for the next stage of my education. I know I will have plenty to learn along the way, but I am genuinely excited to be here.
I spent one month at the Nyamukino site with two of my colleagues and the rangers, conducting rapid assessments and documenting species. It was an exciting and unforgettable experience that deepened my appreciation for nature and conservation. One of the most memorable parts of my experience was conducting transect walks with my colleagues, identifying and documenting different species. The unarmed rangers were incredibly knowledgeable about the local environment, and their rich indigenous knowledge made our fieldwork even more rewarding. Their passion and commitment to conservation were truly inspiring. The experience also gave me the opportunity to encounter bird species I had previously known only from books and theory, including the Abyssinian Ground Hornbill. These moments brought my classroom knowledge to life and strengthened my passion for biodiversity conservation. The evening patrols with the unarmed rangers were special, allowing me to appreciate the aesthetic value of nature while gaining a deeper understanding of the importance of protecting it. My sincere gratitude goes to the management of Environmental Defenders for their remarkable work, continued efforts in environmental restoration, and commitment to raising environmental awareness. I am grateful to have been part of this experience, and the memories and lessons I gained at Nyamukino will remain with me for a long time

nau gives me a clear direction towards my goal of becoming a doctor and thats what matters most to me right now, as becoming a doctor has been something i was always striving towards. i also really appreciate the opportunities it has for the future, which is why i am very impatient to finish my academic studies on MD in order to proceed with going to a hospital and learning all about it first hand

Hello, my name is Taylorann, I am from Utah and I attend Utah Tech University. Here, Athens is very safe, I feel very good traveling to the hospital every day and being here at the hospital has been really great because doctors explain everything and are very kind. I’ve had the opportunity to sub for two different placements, which is something I wouldn’t have the opportunity to do elsewhere. In terms of the program, it’s been really great. They gave us a place to stay which is very safe and they gave you places to go and recommendations. Overall, I’ve had a great experience.

I enjoyed the coursework. I felt it was well worth my time. I did see a lot of editing mistakes in the material, which I think needs to be addressed as this is a course for teaching English. There also wasn’t any real guidance on job seeking. I feel like I have been thrown to the wolves, so to speak.
There is a difference between studying conservation in a classroom and experiencing it with your own hands. For me, this experience at the reserve was truly a first time for everything, and I enjoyed every bit of it. From collecting, drying, and handling seeds to working in seedbeds, learning about seed banking, and participating in tree planting and restoration, I got to experience the practical side of conservation that I had previously studied in theory. I began to appreciate the work, patience, and care that go into growing indigenous trees and restoring degraded landscapes. Wildlife monitoring was equally exciting, especially following the black-and-white colobus monkeys. Seeing animals interact in their natural habitats was fascinating and reminded me why protecting ecosystems matters. Beyond the conservation activities, living in nature was an experience I will always cherish. Waking up to the sound of birds, breathing fresh air, and being surrounded by nature brought me a kind of happiness that is difficult to describe. Every day offered something new to observe, learn, and appreciate. And for me who likes taking pictures of nature, this was it for me.My phone was filled with pictures of beautiful scenery. This experience reminded me that conservation is not just something we study,it is something we experience, practise, and commit ourselves to. I came away with new practical skills, beautiful memories, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world. Sometimes, you may know something in theory, but nothing compares to doing it for the first time. And for me, this was a season of firsts, growth, discovery and joy.
The internship provided valuable practical experience in biodiversity surveys, habitat assessment, plant identification and wildlife observation at Got Arana and Nyamukino reserves. It strengthened my fieldwork skills and improved my understanding of biodiversity conservation and environmental management. The living arrangements provided an opportunity to adapt to the field environment and develop flexibility. Although adjusting to a different routine presented some challenges, the experience contributed positively to my personal development. The internship helped me appreciate the importance of cooperation between conservation organisations and local communities. It highlighted the role of community participation in promoting environmental awareness and protecting natural resources. Safety was an important consideration during field activities, particularly in remote wildlife habitats. Access to healthcare was also a concern because medical facilities could be far from some field locations. The experience emphasized the importance of timely access to medical assistance. Security was available through the rangers. Overall, my internship at Environmental Defenders was a rewarding learning experience that enhanced my practical skills, personal development and appreciation of conservation work. It provided valuable exposure to field research and the realities of environmental management.

My experience was positive, informative, and worthwhile. I appreciated the opportunity to learn new things, improve my understanding, and gain valuable knowledge that I can apply in the future. The process was generally smooth, and the experience helped me appreciate the importance of continuous learning and improvement. Overall, I am satisfied with the experience and would recommend it to others who may benefit from a similar oppo
