London is an amazing city, but this program could be better
July 26, 2026Joshua Adedokun - United StatesProvider: University Studies Abroad Consortium
My fondest memories of this study abroad experience took place away from the classroom and off of campus. There was a plethora of events and activities that I was able to take part in along with friends I made in the program. The university, however, seemed to cut several corners with providing social events and the cleanliness & functionality of our accomodations, which dampened the overall experience for me.
Great Experience

My time teaching in Thailand was a blessing and I will never forget it. Though I may never go back to Thailand to teacher I am glad I got the opportunity to do so. My accommodation was not the cleanest. There were many ants, spiders, and lizards. The electricity went out twice and came back on after 5 minutes. I did have to switch rooms because there was a loud constant noise above my head for over a week for me to then find out my water heater was broken in my first room. If you can get an apartment or condo, I would definitely suggest that over a hotel for 6 weeks.
Unique Work Experience

Got to do an internship in Bangkok, Thailand. Biggest city I've ever lived in and first time working in person for a company and I was never stressed. Beyond really helps you every step of the way with finding an internship, housing, and then hosting events throughout the internship so you can meet other interns! My favorite part of this experience was getting so many opportunities to talk to and learn from local people so I always had someone I could ask for recommendations of things to do. We had a paid for trip to another city for a week and my boss took everyone out to dinner and to different activities after work and it was a lot of fun and a great look into the Thai work and social culture.

Nice

Overall good experience in Seoul. If I had to say something to be improved, I think internship placements for certain majors are less tailored than others. If you’re looking for a more technical experience, it’s not as guaranteed.
I had a really good time!

I had a really good time and it was really fun. It was hard to get me into the correct hospital but I understand it was due to change in directors. The staff was very welcoming and helpful but I wish I had more of a connection with the interns themselves.
Learning never stops

I am content with the course i have completed. Feedback is on point and the people are very kind and helpful. They motivate you and are very positive. Wishing a successful future for you. The course taught me some new knowledge and helped me gain more experience in the industry. I was excited to go through each unit and test my knowledge at the end of every unit. Therefore, I enjoyed my time learning and completing the course.
University of Cape Town Immunology Research Lab Intern

My internship at the University of Cape Town in South Africa was an eye opener to both research and a new culture. At my internship I gained new skills including RNA Isolation, PBMC Isolation, ELISA, MDM Generation, Graphpad Prism and much more. I was also able to shadow an endocrinologist at the Groote Schuur hospital which introduced me to healthcare outside of the U.S. Shadowing in a public hospital opened my eyes to what being a doctor really is. It was chaotic, stressful, busy, but it also showed me that people of the same community suffer from common conditions that are uncommon in the U.S. Outside of the lab and clinic, and I was also able to attend and assist at a research foundation conference here in Cape Town. Though this conference was focused on sustainability, I was honored to attend and learn more about how research expands around the world, bringing together different continents and countries for one purpose. Overall, this internship experience allowed me to gain a better understanding of what research is, but also what healthcare is like in a different country. If anyone is thinking about coming to Cape Town, I recommend seeing the “not so pretty” side and learning about the history behind the mother city. It really opens your eyes to something you might not have known before.

I absolutely loved my time here! The locals are so nice and Antigua is beautiful. My only complaint is that I wish I had more time here to explore, but I tried to make the best of what time I did have. If you have the opportunity I highly recommend it!
Marketing Graduate from Berlin joins GAC's program

Program: GAC Career Launch: Paid Internship Program in China
As a marketing graduate from Berlin, I wanted international experience before starting my career. GAC placed me with a PR agency in Beijing's central business district. From week one, I was working on real campaigns for international brands. My mentor taught me how Chinese social media works – completely different from Europe. The team handled my visa, found me a great apartment, and checked in regularly. Three months later, I landed a job in international marketing back in Germany. My China experience was the main topic in every interview.
