Definitely exceeded my expectations

Had so much fun and all the supervisors were amazing, especially Am and Braxtin. Overall the program was very organized and had a good mix of planned activities versus free time. Couldn’t recommend more.

Equally fun and educational

I had such a wonderful experience at Agualivar. The teachers were warm, friendly, and skilled. The program is structured in a way that provides variation throughout the day and week. Accommodations were lovely and the food was delicious. And of course my Spanish was much improved after just one week! I had so much fun and would happily return in the future. I've recommended this program to friends at all levels of Spanish speaking.

Family Volunteering

January 15, 2026Usha Rumney - Australia

We spent two weeks in December 2025 volunteering with VWI as part of the Family Volunteer Program. It was a life changing experience for my family, which consisted of my husband and I and 3 children aged 7, 9 and 11 years. We were volunteering at a boys shelter and teaching English and Mathematics to children aged 6-17. The program was well organised and we couldn't have survived without Pradeep (Program Director) and Shekar (our driver). Pradeep and Shekar were so accommodating and made us feel so welcome. Over the two weeks we developed beautiful relationships with the boys and felt that we were doing something that made a difference in the world. The purpose of our trip was to provide our children with greater insight into the lives of others and to make a meaningful contribution. It was the most authentic rewarding experience of our lives where we lived in Jaipur for two weeks and we are able to explore the city, while also participating in the volunteer program. I would highly recommend the program to other travellers who are looking for a different experience while travelling.

When I first come to China

January 15, 2026Haidar Al alhareth - Saudi Arabia

When I first come to china I couldn’t say any words then after one month of studying Chinese in That’s mandarin I have learned a lot of words and now I can speak and understand a little bit of Chinese and that’s allowed me to even go to more places and talk with locals and understand them. Thank you That's Mandarin and that you to the professional staff.

More Than I Ever Imagined – A Life-Changing Medical Mission Experience

January 15, 2026Jessica Navejar - United States

My medical mission trip to Antigua, Guatemala with International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ) was more than I ever imagined. From start to finish, the program was incredibly well organized, safe, and meaningful. I felt supported every step of the way, which allowed me to fully focus on learning, serving, and connecting with the community. As an LPN, I had the opportunity to work in a clinic setting where I assisted with assessments, participated in daily activities, and spent quality time with elderly patients. Working with the elders was especially impactful — not only providing care, but listening to them, learning from them, and simply being present. It was an experience that strengthened both my clinical skills and my compassion as a nurse. The host family experience was equally amazing. They were warm, welcoming, and truly made me feel at home. The food was incredible, and I appreciated learning more about Guatemalan culture through daily life with them. It added such depth to the overall experience. The tours and cultural experiences offered through the program were absolutely out of this world. Exploring Antigua and the surrounding areas was unforgettable and helped me better understand the country, its history, and its people. This trip pushed me personally and professionally in the best way possible. I gained hands-on experience, cultural awareness, and memories that will stay with me forever. I am beyond grateful to IVHQ for creating such a meaningful and well-run program. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to grow, serve, and make a real difference.

A Blessing !One of the most surprising and unforgettable experiences of the trip happened after a full day of working in the clinic. Our tour guides organized an afternoon and evening trip up Pacaya Volcano, where we rode horses part of the way up. At the top, w

The best semester ever!

I had such an amazing time studying abroad at the University of Sussex for the Autumn Semester 2025. Living in student accomodation allowed me to make close friendships with other exchange students from all different countries around the world. Brighton is an amazingly happy city and I would highly recommend Sussex for your study abroad or Erasmus experience!

Great experience studying abroad

January 14, 2026Rens Dekker - Netherlands

I had a great time studying at the University of Sussex. I was really happy with the accomodation, and it was nice to have international flatmates. The freshers week was a great way to get to know Sussex and to make some new friends. The campus life was really nice, there were always activities and if you needed help there was always someone out there to offer help. The lectures were interesting. The only thing I didn't like was leaving after 3 months;)

A Semester in Seoul

January 14, 2026Melissa Puente-Garcia - United States

Studying abroad in South Korea was a wonderful experience. Korea is home to some of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, and I was able to experience them thanks to the excursions organized by the WorldStrides team. I loved the cafe culture, the ease and accessibility of transportation, the 24/7 convenience stores, and how safe it felt to walk the streets even at night. The food was amazing, my favorite dish was probably Galbitang with rice and a generous serving of kimchi. It is especially comforting and delicious during the winter. I studied at Sogang University and had a very pleasant experience. The campus is spacious, surrounded by many restaurants, and located in an area with numerous and convenient transportation options.

My time at Sussex was unlike any other uni experience I've had thus far. Everyone was incredibly friendly, staff were helpful and there was something fun to do around every corner. I am so proud to have had this opportunity and especially to have met the people I met.

Therapy Abroad in Thailand - CSD AAC

January 14, 2026Cassie Pilling - United States

I have nothing but great things to say about my time in Chiang Mai! This opportunity was a nice mixture of clinical observation, hands-on learning, and cultural immersion. I will never forget the partnering foundations and families we had the privilege of working with, and I am deeply grateful for the trust and openness they shared with us. This program pushed me outside of my comfort zone and allowed me to grow not only as a future clinician but also as a person. Every day was intentionally designed and filled with meaningful experiences. While the schedule was often physically and mentally demanding, I truly believe this intensity allowed us to make the most of every opportunity and fully engage in all that the program had to offer. I am also extremely thankful for our local facilitator P Pann, whose organization, knowledge, and passion made this trip run so smoothly! Overall, this trip was unforgettable and something I will keep with me throughout my future career.
