Dr. Mnyoni's private veterinary clinic is located in the center of Moshi Town. Dr. Mnyoni is an experienced vet who has employed two young fellow vets. Around 60% of their work involves treating livestock on farms and fields. They primarily treat cows, pigs, chickens, goats, donkeys, and poultry. Vets usually move around Kilimanjaro every day from 8 am to 5 pm. As an intern, you can accompany them and actively participate in their work, such as diagnosing and treating animal diseases on farms and pastures, and administering vaccinations and inseminations. The remaining 40% of their work hours are spent treating domestic animals and pets such as dogs and cats, conducting surgery and post-mortem diagnoses, and selling animal food and supplies. This internship is possible for anyone who would like to experience the work of an African vet. You don't need to be a veterinary medicine student; however, supervised professional internships are also possible.

Especially in developing countries, there is still a lot of room for improvement when it comes to dental hygiene, so dental volunteers are much needed. Pre-dental and dental students will be working alongside qualified dentists and learn a lot about the practical work as well as working with more basic tools and limited resources. If you have been thinking about becoming a dentistry elective for a while, look no further and join one of our dental projects abroad!
