International Internship Programs with Adelante Abroad

What is it really like living in another country and experiencing how the local people live? Want to know where to begin with this process? This is where Adelante Abroad comes in. Adelante Abroad was established to enable people to achieve their dream goals of living and interning abroad. Adelante has been in business since 1999, when we began with internship programs in Madrid. The program followed a simple formula - airport pickup and orientation to assist in your arrival; a good, clean, safe place to live; intensive Spanish classes to practice and improve your language skills; and a contracted internship placement working in a local company with Spanish coworkers. The process worked, providing candidates with the essential components needed to live abroad while still allowing them the independence to find their way in a new city and to create their own unique experiences. Fast forward to today, we now have year-round programs in Spain, Chile, Mexico, Scotland, Uruguay, Ecuador, and summer programs in Scotland. The best part is that we pride ourselves on being the most cost-effective and well-priced internship programs on the market.

Hotel and Resort Management (Tourism) Internships

Institute for Global Studies (IGS) offers Hotel and Resort Management internships abroad in vibrant Australia as well as in exotic locations like Hawaii, Costa Rica, and Argentina. More than just practical experience, the best part of our placements is the opportunity to take on a paid position. Given the high turnover, hardworking and capable students can earn employment when a manager sees their good performance. Our internships enable you to work in various departments. You could handle front desk duties and check-ins, expanding from there to more complex responsibilities such as event planning. IGS encourages on-the-ground participation in this area, taking on tasks like planning and executing important functions. You must be able to put on a happy face when dealing with customers as well as be on your toes and best behavior all day and every day. An internship with us helps you determine whether you have the right personality or passion for tourism and hospitality.

Summer in Madrid

August 05, 2025by: Alex Carlton - United StatesProgram: Spring and Summer Internships in Spain and Latin America

Having studied in Madrid the previous semester I really wanted to come back and have a different type of work experience during the summer. I enjoyed the laid back environment of my internship with Fundación Tríangulo yet I gained valuable insight about public health and sexual health in Spain, among many other skills which will benefit my future career/studies. I did enjoy the centrality of our apartment but it was quite small, I know this is normal for Madrid, but I we did not exactly have private living spaces. I really love Madrid and the availability of outdoor activities, shopping, diverse food choices, the kind people, nightlife, and much more. It will stay in my heart forever, the memories, friends, education and work experience, and I hope to return soon.
