Hands-on fieldwork!

Program: Unique Environmental Science Internships In Costa Rica!

10

I most enjoyed the hands-on fieldwork, particularly participating in coral nursery maintenance and reef monitoring dives, where I could see the direct impact of conservation efforts. This internship strengthened my technical skills in data collection, observation, and teamwork, while also improving my adaptability and cross-cultural communication. Professionally, it clarified my career goals in marine biology and conservation by connecting classroom knowledge to real-world application. On a personal level, it increased my confidence, patience, and appreciation for community-based environmental work and allowed me to make some great friends and see all the amazing things that Costa Rica has to offer.
