Studying my bachelor's in Beijing was the best decision
June 16, 2026by: Nina Koskinen - FinlandProgram: Bachelor's & Master's Degrees in China | Apply with GAC
I wasn't sure about leaving Finland for a full degree in China, but GAC made the application process smooth. They helped me choose the right university, prepared my documents, and guided me through the visa process. Now I'm studying International Business at a top university in Beijing. Tuition is affordable, the campus is modern, and my classmates are from all over the world. The support didn't stop after enrollment – GAC checked in to make sure I settled in well. If you're considering a degree in China, go through GAC. They make it easy.

The Buchmann Mehta School of Music
June 11, 2025by: Silva Babloian - RussiaProgram: International Undergraduate Programs at Tel Aviv University
Studying Harp at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University has been an amazing experience. As a performance student, I'm surrounded by passionate, highly talented musicians and faculty who push me to grow both technically and artistically. I have had an excellent teacher Julia Rovinsky and Sophie Baird-Daniel. One of the highlights of my time here has been working with Professor Alin Gabay, my ear training teacher. She takes a unique, personal approach with each student, really tuning in to our individual needs and helping us expand our listening and musical skills. The atmosphere at the Buchmann-Mehta School is both intense and supportive. We’re given opportunities to perform frequently—both solo and ensembles — in the orchestra. Living in Tel Aviv has been an experience One of my favorite activities is going to the concerts at The Israeli Philharmonic. As students of the Buchmann-Mehta School, we have special access, and getting to hear world-class performances is a constant source of inspiration. If you’re serious about music and looking for a place that combines rigorous training with a warm, collaborative community in one of the most exciting cities in the world, TAU is an amazing choice!
My experience at TAU
June 09, 2025by: laura serur - BrazilProgram: International Undergraduate Programs at Tel Aviv University
Doing a double degree in Management and Liberal Arts has been one of the most exciting and unexpected parts of my academic journey so far. On the Management side, I’m learning how the business world works, how to lead teams, make strategic decisions, and think like an entrepreneur. It’s practical, fast-paced, and gives me tools I know I’ll use no matter where I end up. At the same time, through the Liberal Arts program, I’m majoring in Communications and minoring in Middle Eastern Studies, which has taken me in a completely different (but equally meaningful) direction. Communications has taught me to think about how we tell stories, how we connect, and how media shapes the way we see the world. It’s made me more thoughtful about the words I use and how I express myself. My Middle Eastern Studies minor has been eye-opening. It’s helped me understand the region I live in on a deeper level, its history, complexity, and beauty. Some of the most meaningful classes I’ve taken were from that department. What I enjoy most is how these two degrees balance each other. One is about skills and action, the other about understanding and perspective. Together, they’ve made me more curious, more open-minded, and more prepared, not just for a job, but for the world. It hasn’t always been easy juggling both, but I wouldn’t trade it. It’s helped me grow in ways I never expected.
My experience in the Dual BA program with TAU and Columbia U
June 08, 2025by: Maya Koshet - PortugalProgram: International Undergraduate Programs at Tel Aviv University
As a student in the dual degree program between Tel Aviv University and Columbia University, majoring in Psychology and Entrepreneurship, I’ve found this journey to be incredibly enriching and full of unexpected discoveries. One of the aspects I appreciate most at TAU is the freedom to choose many of my courses. With such a wide variety of classes available, I’ve been able to explore areas beyond my major that have truly surprised me. For instance, I unexpectedly fell in love with Middle Eastern Studies. The professors in this department are some of the most knowledgeable and passionate I’ve encountered—arguably more so than anywhere else in the world. Even taking just a few courses has deeply expanded my understanding of the region, and I highly recommend other students explore this area, even if it’s not part of their main degree. In Entrepreneurship, most of the professors bring incredible real-world experience—many are founders, investors, or deeply embedded in Israel’s startup ecosystem, which makes the learning feel very practical. My Psychology professors are also insightful and engaging. While English isn’t the first language for many professors across departments, they consistently manage to lead high-quality, meaningful courses that are easy to follow and valuable. Not every class has been a hit—some of the required core courses haven’t resonated with me, and there are aspects of the academic structure I don’t always enjoy. But overall, it’s pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow. The campus is a major plus. With Tel Aviv’s amazing weather, there’s a constant positive energy. There are tons of great spots to grab coffee, eat, study, or relax in the sun. As an international student, I’d love to see newer, more modern classrooms—but the overall environment is vibrant and welcoming. In short, the dual degree program is a perfect mix of academic depth and student life. It’s a serious education, but also a fun, global experience I’m really grateful to be part of.

From practical to theory
June 17, 2024by: Jon - EnglandProgram: International Undergraduate Programs at Tel Aviv University
Before starting my first semester at TAU, I was fighting in Gaza for two months. I had so much free time with nothing to do but sit and think. Everything that happened in this apocalyptic suburbia seemed to be of global significance. I wanted to act perfectly at all times. But how can I know what acting perfectly is? I was trapped for these months with 11 other men. All Israeli. Some religious, some secular, some right wing and some left. Some people praised me for actions I took or refused to took while others saw me as an obstacle in the way of their goals. I continued to sit in dark rooms. Not fearing for me life but understanding the possibility that a small logistical issue by someone I don’t know could lead to the obliteration of this room. And the questions I sat and asked myself were much bigger than the war. Questions of life, ethics, morality, the direction of the human race, the importance of war if it has one and whether or not we can prove it to be beneficial at times or not. Weather or not we can know for certain that something is ever beneficial. Coming to TAU, I left the war zone but the questions stayed. And now while I don’t have endless time and a dark room to think. I have a professor, and a bright room, and a library of infinite resources to help me form my opinions. I have class mates who want to explain their perspectives to me and want to have their ideologies challenged. I have been promoted from the front line to the war cabinet. Now I can find my true beliefs before I act on them. And I have a history of experiences to learn from. At TAU I feel safe but challenged. Academia is aggressively competitive and debating the existence of good and bad in modernity can feel like an intense fight. But here is where I feel most, I can get real and meaningful experiences through discourse and I don’t need to be on the verge of death to experience it. I can find meaning through exploration of ideas and as I form new opinions I understand my old ones change and my new ones may too in the near future. This university allows for me to grow and celebrate existence. I am thankful to have this experience and to have it ahead of me for the next few years too. It is peaceful yet intense and this move from practical to theory is an important part of my returning to ‘normal life’ if there is or ever will be such a thing.

My experience in Tel Aviv University
June 04, 2024by: Anastasia Mikunis - IsraelProgram: International Undergraduate Programs at Tel Aviv University
Three months ago, I embarked on a new adventure, moving to Israel to live and study. While I had visited Israel before, this was my first time in Tel Aviv. I remember the moment I first saw the sea; it was nothing short of breathtaking. Coming from Moscow, Russia, where the sea is a rare sight, the idea of seeing it every day felt almost surreal. Tel Aviv is a lively city, and I quickly grew to appreciate its unique charm and energy. I am currently pursuing a degree in the Management and Liberal Arts program. This program has truly captivated me with its wide range of courses, particularly those focused on management. Making friends here was easy, I quickly bonded with my classmates, who come from various backgrounds. Despite our differences, we easily find common ground and enjoy each other’s company. The campus itself left a lasting impression on me. I was absolutely fascinated by its size, the lush green grass, and the abundance of flowers. Every aspect of the campus seems designed to enhance the student experience. The vibrant and supportive atmosphere on campus makes it a wonderful place to study and grow. As a Jewish woman, studying in Israel has a special significance for me. It feels like a homecoming, connecting with my heritage and community in profound ways. TAU has offered me more than just an education; it has given me the chance to immerse myself in a new culture and form lifelong friendships.
Where Business Meets Culture (with a Beach Break!)
June 04, 2024by: Yelyzaveta Liashenko - UkraineProgram: International Undergraduate Programs at Tel Aviv University
Being a second-year Management and Liberal Arts student (Psychology and Digital Culture and Communication track) at Tel Aviv University (TAU) has been an eye-opening experience. It's the blend of business know-how and exploring the world shaped by technology and culture. Classes are engaging – our management professors combine theory with real-world case studies, making the lessons relevant. Meanwhile, the psychology and digital culture courses delve into the "why" behind online trends and how technology impacts us. It's fascinating to see these seemingly different fields come together. TAU's campus is a hive of activity. One minute you're discussing marketing strategies in a lecture hall, the next you're grabbing coffee with classmates at the cafeteria. The mix of cultures is incredible – I've learned so much from my international peers, and the professors encourage lively discussions that bridge different perspectives. Living in Tel Aviv is an experience in itself. The city is young and energetic, and there's always something happening. Sometimes, after a long day of classes, I head straight to the beach for a sunset view or just a walk with friends. It's the perfect way to unwind and recharge. The workload can be intense, but TAU offers great support systems. There's academic advising, workshops on managing stress, and student clubs for every interest. I recently joined the theatre club, which is a fantastic way to meet like-minded people outside of class. Sure, juggling classes and the city's vibrant energy can be tricky, but that's part of the TAU experience. You learn to be adaptable, resourceful, and most importantly, to embrace the adventure. If you're looking for a program that challenges you intellectually while offering a dynamic social scene, all set in a city that never sleeps, then TAU's Management and Liberal Arts program might be the perfect fit for you.
