Best experience ever!
Going into college, I knew I wanted to study abroad no matter where in the world it was. Two years into my college career, I could not have been more thankful that I was given the opportunity to do so in Prague. The city itself is beautiful and has a wide variety of cultural experiences from its historical landmarks and local cafes. Right in the heart and center of Prague is The University of New York in Prague, which is where I attended school for my spring semester. Immediately upon arrival I felt welcomed from the students waiting at the airport to pick us up, along with orientation the very next day. UNYP provided multiple opportunities within the first week to meet new friends and familiar faces. Studying at a new school in a new country can be intimidating, but UNYP did the most to decrease those nerves. Throughout the semester, I was able to build relationships with my professors and learn about their stories; UNYP being a huge international school means students and professors come from all over the world which is super cool. I even met a professor who lived about an hour from me at home in the US! The atmosphere of the small school allowed me to feel comfortable and be friendly with my peers. Outside of UNYP, I had the opportunity to travel around Prague, as well as to many other countries around Europe. In total, I made it to about 12 different countries, from taking weekend trips to spending extra time in Europe even after my semester ended. I could share about my experience forever; my good memories and friends are never ending, but then we would be here for hours. Overall I had an incredible experience from the girls I was living with, getting lucky to spend my semester in the beautiful city of Prague, and having a great school like UNYP to provide a great education and further advance my studies in and out of the classroom. To anyone thinking about studying abroad especially at UNYP, do it!
