Embark on a journey to the South of France for an unforgettable summer of French language and culture! Arrive to Toulouse for a 3 day orientation excursion in the village of Albi. On the drive to Argeles-Sur-Mer, the program base, stop at Carcassonne and explore the village's iconic castle. Upon arrival to Argeles meet your homestay. 2 to 3 students are placed per home. In Argeles you will have French classes in the mornings on a historical garden property. The school is in the property's historic home dating to 1887. Classes offered for all levels! After class, enjoy a picnic lunch and then segway into afternoon cultural activities such as a painting class, a cooking class, and a traditional dance class. And, of course, lots of beach time! Argeles has one of the longest and most beautiful sandy beaches on the entire French Mediterranean. It is only about 15 minutes walking from the school! Weekend excursions are included! Hike to the beach town of Collioure for swimming and return by boat to Argeles. Visit the mountain village of La Roque for a lunch and hiking. The program ends with an excursion to Toulouse for a day of exploration and saying goodbye to newfound friends.

They are all about a hands-on approach to travel where we go beyond the casual tourist experience, take public transportation, and learn how life is in each place we visit. They provide a unique and carefully crafted itinerary that allows for more challenges and independence. We encourage teens on these trips to learn how to use a Eurail pass along with other handy travel skills so that they become confident and able to take on even more of the world in the future! This is one of our most popular Older Teens trips and combines a great mixture of classic European cities, mountain adventure, and Mediterranean beaches. Those looking to discover a nice mix of European cultures will love experiencing the best Italy, Switzerland, and France has to offer.

In Nice, you will live in a modern student apartment, in the beautiful Old Port neighborhood, in the very heart of town. Every student chooses two classes as their academic focus: a major and an elective. The French major class meets every morning Monday to Friday while electives meet three afternoons a week. Electives include French Conversation, Photography, Sports, and Studio Art. Abbey Road provides three meals a day of high-quality food through a variety of venues. We often cook together using traditional French recipes. On some nights we go out for group dinners. In any case, our students eat authentic, quality food, as opposed to fast food or tourist meals. Our teaching method emphasizes active, hands-on learning, cultural and language immersion. Most of our French classes include interacting with locals, practicing French, and small group French conversation workshops. Our Teen Summer Camp in Paris is a French immersion program for international students aged 13 to 17, based in central Paris. Students stay in a supervised boarding school and enjoy a structured, safe experience in this beautiful city, the capital of France. Mornings focus on French classes in small groups, with levels set after a placement test. Lessons are practical and interactive, helping students speak with more confidence in real-life situations. From level A0 to B1. In the afternoons and at weekends, the group explores Paris through guided visits and excursions. Expect iconic highlights such as major monuments, museums, lively neighbourhoods, and time along the Seine, plus supervised evening activities for relaxation and socializing. The TOCA Program in France at the Leo Marchutz School of Painting and Drawing is a customized two-week interdisciplinary study abroad program. During the program, participants will immerse themselves in the daily practice of painting and drawing, both in the studio and in the landscapes of the South of France. Students will also take part in discussion-based art criticism seminars, day trips to surrounding areas (including coastal towns along the Mediterranean Sea and nearby sites associated with Cézanne), workshops in creative writing, and French language instruction—either survival or conversational, depending on their level. Additional academic and cultural activities round out the experience.
