This program leverages your creative and digital skills to help local organizations improve their online presence and charitable initiatives. Together with other volunteers, you can make a significant impact by supporting various causes, including animal shelters. What to expect: • Use your technical skills and expertise to support important local causes. • Contribute to initiatives on animal shelters, refugees, community support, and environmental awareness. Daily tasks: • Conduct website maintenance and webpage building, applying content and media that support charitable initiatives. • Provide marketing materials for social media, flyers, print ads, website content, or logos. • Create promotional videos, photo/video documentation during on-site projects, and images for social media. • Develop content that extends the NGO’s reach and increases online awareness. Volunteers must bring their own laptops, design software (Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent), and/or camera equipment.

Spanish Gap Year Program: Gap Semester in Spain

This all-in-one semester begins with one month traveling Spain by train, followed by two months in Barcelona where you choose your pathway. You’ll build soft skills (communication, confidence, problem-solving), hard skills (Spanish, digital tools, cooking), and leadership abilities focused on positive impact. Choose one of three pathways: - The Internship Pathway offers full-time hands-on experience, real projects, and strong hours for future credit or professional goals. - The Entrepreneurship Pathway combines a part-time internship with entrepreneurship labs, mentorship, and Spanish classes, ending in a Shark Tank–style pitch. - The Special Interest Pathway lets you blend part-time internship, volunteering, and classes, or focus fully on volunteering plus Spanish or creative electives. If you want to explore Spain, improve Spanish, travel sustainably, and gain real-world experience with impact, this semester is for you. The next session dates: September 5th to November 28th, 2026 Eligibility: - 18 years old or over - Must be in good health - High school graduate with at least a 2.8 GPA - Interest in chosen pathway

Fue mi primer voluntariado; nunca antes había participado en uno y decidí hacerlo con IVHQ. Gracias a esta experiencia conocí un país nuevo y también un mundo que jamás pensé que conocería: el mar. Participar en actividades de conservación marina me permitió comprender una realidad que antes ignoraba; nunca imaginé que el océano pudiera contener toneladas de basura. Sin embargo, bastó con ayudar a retirar parte de esos desechos para darme cuenta de la importancia de cuidar este ecosistema. Al mismo tiempo, pude descubrir un mundo distinto, donde, a pesar de todo, solo se siente paz.
