Each summer, BECA hosts a 3-week, half-day day camp for elementary students. The program aims to keep kids immersed in the English language through fun games and activities, making the transition to classes in August less difficult and preventing loss of learning over the long break. Each year, we seek a team of 6-8 Volunteer Summer Camp Counselors to work with approximately 75-100 students across multiple grade levels, with about 15-20 students per classroom. Come, grow with us! Global Citizen Adventure Corps (GCAC) offers student and adult travelers an immersive one-week experience in San Matias, Honduras. Travelers will serve in a community development program to bring hope, healing, and empowerment to the people of this mountain village. Service work will include delivery and installation of clean water filtration systems to families, pouring concrete floors in homes, teaching in a local school, or assisting with medical/dental clinics. GCAC travelers volunteer daily in San Matias. In the evenings, you may participate in activities like soccer games with locals, cooking classes, market visits, meals with local families, and walking tours. For participants who are university students or high school juniors and seniors, 3 hours of transferable college credit is available from Bethel University.
