Arcos Learning Abroad offers year-round online learning options. Students may select from Spanish classes, Electives taught in Spanish, and Internships. All coursework is fully accredited and transcripted by the local university of record. Students may select from courses offered in Argentina, Costa Rica, Mexico and Spain. The typical terms of enrollment are summer, winter break and semester. For those interested in a non-credit option, Arcos Online Learning also offers Spanish Conversation. Students can choose from workshops, group classes or individual classes. This online option is ideal for individuals wanting to maintain or improve their Spanish skills.

Designed for STEM students (with a particular focus on Mechanical, Chemical, and Electrical Engineering) and with the expertise of our Engineering Consortium, the curriculum of this program enables you to continue the specific course progression you need for a timely graduation. While completing your engineering coursework, you will also experience all that Cape Town has to offer by exploring the city and its surroundings and diving into the rich South African culture and history. In this program, you will register for two to four courses at South Africa's leading research university, the University of Cape Town (UCT), located in a pleasant suburban area five miles from the city center. UCT is South Africa's oldest university and has undergone incredible change since its opening, particularly since the end of Apartheid, working to make quality higher education available to students regardless of socioeconomic background. In addition to your engineering-related courses, you will participate in a hands-on IES Abroad course entitled Designing the Sustainable City, a unique project-based course that examines and proposes solutions for issues affecting the local community.

This online intensive Hebrew course at the University of Haifa International School is designed for students who want to immerse themselves in an intensive language acquisition experience that is personally enriching and academically demanding. Instruction will be offered at the beginners and intermediate levels. Classes will be held Mondays through Thursdays for four academic hours per day. The course awards four academic credits. The course will be taught remotely through the Zoom online classroom system and held from 6pm and 9:30pm Israel time, or 11:00am to 2:30pm EDT and 8am to 11:30am PDT. Prior to joining the classes, students will be asked to download and answer the Hebrew Placement Test. Students who are not total beginners should fill out the placement exam to the best of their abilities without the use of aid and then stop once they cannot answer any questions. The course is open to all applicants above the age of 18. Medical forms for the application are not needed.

The CFHI Virtual Global Health elective offers inter-professional trainees a unique opportunity to build key Global Health competencies. Students will explore global and public health issues broadly, highlighting how health systems around the world deliver healthcare in a variety of environments, examining cultural interplays, developing agility for making healthcare decisions in diverse settings, and expanding self-awareness. Participants will learn how communities are addressing their most pressing health challenges, including chronic disease, maternal-child health, infectious disease, and reproductive health, all while gaining insights into the public health realities internationally, reverse innovation, and interplays of international development and health. This elective is intended to be a full-time, four-week commitment. The elective contains both live sessions with peers and international faculty members and self-paced readings, assignments, and group work. Participants will produce a final e-portfolio compiling all completed assignments and serving as a key component for successful elective completion.

Foundations in Sustainable Development is our flagship program. It provides those who would like to make a positive impact with an introduction into the “for good” sector. Participants are able to learn a little bit about the field as a whole and gain preliminary insight into a specific field. Two of the courses, the Careers in Sustainable Development course and Leading Teams for Emerging Leaders course, form the groundwork of the Foundations in Sustainable Development program.
