Study Exercise Science Abroad

Studying abroad in London was the best experience of my undergraduate education so far. Studying abroad was something that I never expected and it felt like fate when I found out that my major (Criminal Justice) was hosting a program in London with CEA Capa. Throughout my time in London, CEA Capa made the experiece extremely rewarding and memorable. From the excursions, shows, education, and travel advice, CEA Capa supported the entire program and did so extremely effortlessly. Being in London was my first time out of the country and I was so confident that I would be safe, know where to go, and what to do if something went wrong because the team was so helpful. CEA Capa has my highest recommendation and I wish everyday that I could go back to being abroad in London.

I chose AIFS Abroad for my semester in London because I wanted to experience living in a new country while continuing my education, and I’m so glad I did. The staff were incredibly helpful and supportive, which made adjusting to life in a new city much easier. The housing accommodations were also a great part of the experience and gave me a place to feel comfortable while living abroad. Having an Oyster card to use on the Tube made it so easy to get around London and explore different neighborhoods, landmarks, and attractions. The Eurail pass was another great benefit because it gave me the opportunity to travel and experience even more while studying abroad. One of my favorite parts of the program was getting to explore London, visit museums and landmarks, and experience everyday life in a different country. I also made amazing friendships and became more independent and confident navigating new places. As a marketing and management student, studying abroad gave me a new perspective on different cultures and helped me grow both personally and professionally. Between the supportive staff, housing, transportation benefits, and opportunities to explore, AIFS made my experience really memorable. I would definitely recommend AIFS Abroad to anyone looking to study abroad, make new friends, and get the most out of their time in another country!

Forum-Nexus was a wonderful experience, and I would rate it 9/10. I loved traveling to so many places, meeting new people, and learning through the classes and professional visits. The program was well balanced, and the staff were supportive and helpful. I especially enjoyed the independent cultural visits and the opportunity to experience different cities. Some professional visits, such as Heineken, felt a little long, and the Paris hotel was not ideal. Overall, I learned a lot, made great memories, and would definitely recommend Forum-Nexus to others.

My name is Kabba and I studied abroad in London, England during the Fall 2025 semester! I chose to study abroad because I wanted to explore an opportunity to grow by doing something out of my comfort zone. AIFS helped make my experience an unforgettable one by ensuring I was prepared before departure and providing me with support during my time abroad. I would recommend studying abroad with AIFS to anyone who is willing to expand their horizon!

I can’t express enough how a great time it was. New friends and family. Learned some Spanish, PT Techniques, and saw some beautiful sights what more can you ask for! PT’s were very supportive and helpful we went to two clinics and saw how they worked. Everyone wqs happy to be there. Everything was so personal and engaging teaching things step by step. We observed for a total of 75 hours and each hour was filled with a new question and discussion. Thank you to our wonderful coordinators for setting up this program for us.

My time in Italy was one of the most amazing, life-changing, and enjoyable experiences I have ever had. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to visit Italy for the first time, especially since it was also my first time flying on an airplane. I loved how affordable the program was for everything that was included. We traveled throughout Central Italy, enjoyed amazing food and accommodations, and were guided by caring faculty and tour guides who truly wanted us to have the best experience possible. This trip gave me unforgettable memories, new friendships, and experiences that I will always be grateful for.

I had an unforgettable time in Italy with Molise Italian Studies. It was my first time visiting a country outside of the United States, so I was a little worried at first. However, the program was so well run and smooth that I soon had no worries whatsoever. Our guide, Andrea, was excellent and our trip would not have been what it was without him. My experience with the Nomads Physical Therapy program was very positive and meaningful. One of the best parts of the program was having the opportunity to complete observation hours and gain experience in a different physical therapy setting. It allowed me to learn more about the profession while also seeing how physical therapy is practiced in Mexico compared to the United States. I found it especially interesting to learn about the similarities and differences between physical therapy in both countries. I was also able to understand how different challenges can affect patients depending on where they live, including access to healthcare, resources, and other factors that can influence their treatment and recovery. This experience helped me appreciate the importance of adapting care to each person's individual situation. Another great part of the program was meeting new people and making connections with other students and professionals. I was able to make new friends and create relationships that made the experience even more enjoyable. Everyone was welcoming, and I felt that I was able to learn not only from the physical therapy experiences but also from the people around me. The weekend excursions were also a very interesting and informative part of the program. They gave us the opportunity to explore new places, learn about the culture and history, and experience more of what Mexico has to offer outside of the clinical setting. Overall, Nomads Physical Therapy was a very good experience that allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. I gained valuable observation experience, learned more about physical therapy in different countries, met great people, and created memories and connections that I will carry with me in the future. I would definitely recommend this program to other physical therapy students looking for an educational and enjoyable experience abroad.

I was very very hesitant on applying and even once I got accepted I was very skeptical about joining BUT I truly had the best time ever! Getting to experience different clinics around Athens was an amazing and the PTs were truly the best! We started out strangers but once it was time to end it was the hardest see you later ever! Best directors ever too!!!

This is truly an amazing program lead by people who care about students and the importance of global perspectives. Me and 6 other students spent our time at Merida Yucatan, MX where we gained 75 verified observational hours shadowing licensed physical therapists in diverse and hands-on clinical settings. Cultural immersion was a pivotal theme in our time in Merida learning about the different yet important components physical therapy has to offer across borders. We also had the opportunity for weekend guided excursions to cenotes, Mayan ruins ,and local landmarks .This program not only created lasting friendships but also built my initiative, adaptability and global perspective necessary for my future in Physical Therapy! I’d highly recommend to anyone interested @nomad.physicaltherapy

My experience studying abroad in Molise Italy was absolutely life-changing. I learned so much about culture, made lifetime, friendships, and endless memories. Getting to experience the culture and beauty of Molise was the absolute highlight of my summer.

The Molise Italian Studies program was a wonderful way to be immersed in the Molise region, some of the Puglia region, and Rome. By visiting some of the smaller, lesser-known areas in these regions, I got to see firsthand how people live, work, and support their communities through the activities and social work experiences. I can say I grew as a person and have a new outlook on my everyday life at home. It was evident that Italians in these regions value community and connection. I appreciated the opportunities to participate in activities at some of the agencies, such as at LAI and in Capracotta, rather than simply observing the activity. Our tour leader, Andrea, was kind, patient, organized, and knowledgeable throughout the entire trip.

Myself and my colleague brought a group of ten university students on a trip with Molise, and we could not be happier! Our guides were knowledgeable and kind. Every single person we encountered along the way as we traveled was welcoming and gracious. So many laughs were shared amongst our students and the Italian community, and we never once felt as if we were not in steady, capable hands with the company. Upon returning home from Italy, we immediately arranged our next trip with Scott and Megan, and plan to continue this trip regularly to allow students to continue to experience all the amazing things our first group did.

As a student who dreamed of going abroad for years, I never considered a trip like this would be at my fingertips. Many know that traveling abroad is a big decision because it involves location costs return of investment and with being in school of the timeline of when it’s going to happen. I decided to make my minor Hotel restaurant management sophomore year of college, but wasn’t sure of how I was still going to make my broad dream come true. Fall semester of 2024 when I was in one of my HRM studies I wondered what options there could be to study the subject abroad. That’s when I discovered the Molise Italian Studies program NAU in Italy: Economics of Gastronomy. After promptly siding up, I was introduced to a fully guided program with pre-arrival meetings that fully explained the details and necessary precautions of going abroad. Which included an itinerary of the daily activities the lessons that would be focused on and places of accommodation. All details, which transferred extremely well into the actual trip. Each lesson was fully in depth and offered different opportunities. My favorite day was probably the day we visited Di Iorio Tartufi - Italian Truffle where we learned how truffles were safely found and made into a meal. I came home with at least 5 jars!! I highly enjoyed the environment, the greenery, and absolutely the delicious assortment of truffle products. At the end of the day, this program offered me a week of excitement and verity of locations across molise. I couldn’t have asked for a better program to introduce me to the world of traveling.

I had a pretty great semester at UL. I thoroughly enjoyed the classes and the professors, but also learned a lot about myself and the Irish people. I joined the Christian Union pretty early on and was welcomed into fellowship with that group. I accompanied some friends of that group into smaller towns I may not have otherwise visited and helped lead churches playing piano. I was welcomed into homes and I really felt loved. I also got to see much of the countryside and felt it easy to travel around to sight see. My time in Ireland is a time where I grew in knowing myself but also my understanding of the world. I loved learning Irish traditions, culture, and history, and I know that I could never know nearly as much by staying home.

In my time here, I learned so much about what I am capable of and what the world has to offer. This is largely due to the support of the study abroad team and resources like the writing, counseling, and health centers. I am so proud of all I have accomplished, be it in academics and the things I learned, and in stepping out of my comfort zone and exploring more about Ireland, Irish culture, and how I immerse myself in it. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this possible for me.

I decided to study abroad with AIFS and it truly was the best decision of my life. The AIFS Abroad team was so incredibly helpful--jumping onto phone calls to answer every one of my many questions. I had never lived abroad before but AIFS walked me through each step. My university required that I book my flights through AIFS' travel package, which I found to be so incredibly helpful. I did not have to worry about how I was getting to the airport or what flight to get. AIFS did it for me. From making sure I knew how to use the Tube to immersing me in the culture from the first moment I got off the plane, AIFS Abroad welcomed me with open arms. I loved going to class in a different part of the city as well. Kensington is GORGEOUS and getting to experience the life of a Londoner who travels back and forth from home is an experience I'll never forget. From traveling to Europe to visiting so many museums, from seeing theatre productions to meeting new people, London opened my world up. AIFS Abroad encouraged me to try new things and to spend as much time as I could out and about in the culture of England--while also making sure I got my schoolwork done! I even met my partner while there. I kept a digital journal through Instagram of my travels called "Lost In London"(@katharinegutkoski & @ontherecord._). I truly cannot thank AIFS Abroad for everything. Going to England changed my life and I would choose AIFS Abroad again and again and again.

It was honestly the best experience it could have been - Great organization of the study abroad program, easy module selection, broad offer of modules, fun and regular campus activities, a bunch of reserved housing spaces for international students (be fast though) and a great study abroad team that helps with all your worries! I made so many good friends and enjoyed the spring semester immensely. 10/10 would recommend. the only negative part is that Ireland is a pretty expensive country as it is... UL offers a lot of cheaper food options though, that helped!
