You can enroll for a semester or full year, taking an intensive early-start Hebrew session before the spring semester. Enroll in Hebrew and Arabic language courses based on your level of proficiency, as well as coursework taught in English. The International School is an integral part of the University of Haifa. As a student in the International School you will be joining students from all over the world who have come to Israel to enhance their education. You will also be studying and living with Israeli students. The International School offers Honors Programs for highly motivated students in Psychology and Peace and Conflict Studies as well as track programs specializing in Global Law, and Arabic Language and Culture. All of the courses in the International School are taught in English and are fully accredited. Students who are proficient in Hebrew are welcome to take courses in all other departments of the university. The professors and lecturers teaching in the International School are members of the university faculty who have distinguished careers in their respective fields. The academic Internship Program features credit-bearing work-study experiences related to the academic or vocational interests of the student. We are pleased to announce our Summer 2024 study abroad programs for the Rothberg International School (RIS) at Hebrew University. Choose from a broad range of short-term courses across the following areas: Israel & Middle East Studies Religious Studies Social & Political Sciences Business & Legal Studies STEM We have two summer sessions: four weeks in July and two weeks in August. You can choose one session or combine both to get the most out of your stay in Israel. The maximum recommended course load for the July session is two courses. We also have Intensive Language Programs in June: Biblical Hebrew Elementary Level, Colloquial Arabic for Beginners, and Intensive Modern Hebrew. Our summer study abroad courses welcome undergraduate and graduate students, as well as mature learners with academic backgrounds. Participants complement their studies with local volunteer opportunities. To help offset the cost of participation, we offer an automatic scholarship of $500 to all students from the US.
