Easy to navigate the online course which supported a lot of relevant learning, with quality instruction and materials. There was also a good variety in the exercises which maintained engagement. Overall, the core 180 hr TEFL module was detailed and well-resourced, and I benefitted a lot from doing it. Excellent and quick tutor feedback times too. I am currently doing the 60 hr Business English module which I feel lacks the care and detail of the core TEFL module and replicates a lot of its content, in less detail. There may be an opportunity to either add more Business English content and less duplication - or make it into a 30 hr / 40 hr module and refer the learner to the relevant parts of the TEFL 180 hr course for the duplicative aspects (PPP and Skills-based lesson plans). Tonight`s Job Coaching webinar (with Emos) provided some tips and links to what I hope will be valuable resources (CV templates, reference books etc). Many students also needed concrete advice on visa, technology, tax and TEFL organisation structure and contact people, as four examples. I think more concrete replies to these questions, or to point students to more specific follow-up resources, could improve those aspects of the session.

I participated on the job coaching seminar to get helpful tips on resume tweaking, demo videos, and interview prep. While Emos covered all of these topics, I found it distracting and frustrating to listen to a bunch of unrelated questions specific to an individual situation in the middle of the presentation. It would have been better to save all questions to the end

My experience with IES Barcelona was life-changing. I lived in a Residence Hall in Sant Marti, where my commute to class was 30 minutes every day by train. The public transportation in Barcelona is affordable, clean, safe, and easy to use, so navigating the public transportation was one of my highlights. The school location was in the city center with incredible views just down the street. I enjoyed studying by the Cathedral of Barcelona, which was only a six-minute walk from our classes! The courses were not too difficult but highly interesting. I took an Art History course where I had the opportunity to learn about the history of Art Nouveau pieces around the city of Barcelona. I also had the opportunity to take a History of Contemporary Spain class, where I was able to broaden my horizons in the Political Science field and compare US history and government to the history and government of Spain. In between work weeks, I was also able to travel. The Barcelona airport is a hub for international travel, so I was able to take exciting trips to several new locations. Overall, this program was the perfect study abroad experience where I became more independent and learned so much about the world.

I thoroughly loved my time in Athens, although I did sabotage myself by choosing to apply to graduate schools while taking four language classes. The professors were amazing, but the classes I chose were at the senior level and were very stressful to deal with and left me with not much time to explore Athens.

I attended the TEFL Job Coaching Seminar. It was very informative and well structured. Emos presented the content professionally and facilitated an engaging seminar. The slides were great and to the point. The seminar also provided me with numerous pathways to initiate my job search. I loved the practical examples Emos provided. It made it much more hands-on. It would have been great to receive more country‑specific information.

A very, very informative talk by the highly engaging Emos who supplied a lot of very useful information and links on working as an EFL teacher. Highly recommended as there are some very useful tips and tricks that I will most certainly be trying. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I've been scribbling for the last hour and am much more positive about finding a job. Thank you.

It was extremely useful and practical. I hadn’t heard of any of the teaching sites that he suggested and I didn’t know how to start going forward with finding a job. The instructor himself was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions.

Although most of the topics mentioned in the training were already familiar to me, as I am currently connected with an ESL company that teaches Cambridge YLE and am also completing a 30-hour IELTS Teacher Training course at the TEFL Institute, I found the session very valuable. The trainer did an excellent job and shared wonderful additional resources, including useful links and websites. I truly appreciate the effort and quality of the training. I am always eager to continue improving myself, especially in my teaching career, and to expand my professional network. Thank you very much for an excellent training session this evening.
