Program Highlights

Join cultural immersion activities, including learning about the Maori culture, gold panning, seeing kiwis, beekeeping, Lord of the Rings film sites, and working on sheep farms.
Complete an internship on a sheep farm and learn about starting a business. Volunteer in the community in a food pantry.
Enjoy 19 adventure excursions, including luging, canyoning, rock climbing, mountain biking, jet boating, seeing the glow worms in Te Anau, the famous Milford Sounds, and hiking Mt. Cook National Park.
Learn how to live independently and learn life skills while living in an incredible house in Queenstown, exploring the South Island, with a great group of friends and housemates.

How long is the program and where do we live?

The program is 10 weeks long and we live in a home, in a gorgeous country lodge in Queenstown, New Zealand.

What are the therapeutic elements of the program?

What Makes Us “Gap Year PLUS”? Alongside all the classic benefits of a gap year, we provide three key therapeutic supports to ensure students thrive:
* Live-In Therapeutic Coach for in-the-moment coaching, emotional regulation, and social skill-building.
* Weekly Wellness & Life Skills Workshops focusing on resilience, independence, emotional well being

* Option to maintain appointments with personal therapist back home 

* Weekly Group Parent calls
