This experience helped me grow

August 19, 2026Gunnar Black

I enjoyed spending time in the operating room and learning from the kind and communicative surgeons and nurses. I also had the opportunity to meet many different people and experience a new culture. I especially loved the historical aspects of the experience, including seeing ruins and learning about Greece's history through museums. This experience not only gave me an inside look at possible career paths, but also allowed me to learn in multiple hospital settings and gain a better understanding of different areas of healthcare. Beyond the medical experience, I was able to immerse myself in another culture and develop a much broader perspective of the world. Overall, this experience helped me grow both professionally and personally, and it is something I will always value.

A priceless & unforgettable learning experience!

August 19, 2026Rosanna Kenyon

What an amazing internship experience! It was an unforgettable month that pushed me out of my comfort zone, gave me experiences I’d never have at home, and allowed me to learn about conservation while meeting some amazing people. I learned a great deal and the entire experience definitely exceeded my expectations! I really enjoyed game drives. It was a good way to explore the reserve, learn lots about the environment and wildlife, get to know other participants and no drive was ever the same. Seeing all the animals, sunrise and sunsets on drives and getting to know new people made the experience truly unforgettable.

A rich learning experience!

August 19, 2026Eliza Pioch

The time spent doing my GIS internship at the Gondwana Game Reserve exceeded my expectations in both the knowledge I received and the amazing views I was fortunate enough to see. I learned a great deal, saw a lot of amazing animals and it was extremely rewarding to learn so much about GIS and wildlife.

I enjoyed getting to know a new culture and traveling around Spain

August 19, 2026Thor Hansen

Emails were clear and easy to follow. I had the absolute best experience I could have ever asked for because of my host mother. She took such good care of me and any students to get her as a host are super lucky! I enjoyed getting to know a new culture and traveling around Spain. I think it helped me mature a little bit by being alone in a different country and just further added to my self dependence which will help me in my career and life.

Amazing to see manta rays!

The Marine Biology & Reef Conservation internship in Sodwana Bay (South Africa) was an amazing experience! I learned a great deal - had an awesome time and met some wonderful people! It was unforgettable to see the manta rays too!

Excited journey

August 19, 2026Heba Awad - Jordan

OnTESOL provided a well-structured and practical course. The modules were clear and useful, and my tutor James Green was supportive. I feel more confident and prepared to teach ESL. The course offered valuable knowledge, practical teaching strategies, and helpful resources that I can apply in real classroom settings. I would recommend it to anyone interested in starting a career in ESL teaching.

Experience much better than their website!

August 19, 2026George Taylor - United States

I'll tell you, if this company (or when, surely) sorts out their website to something modern and decent looking, it's going to kill it! The course is excellent and worth far more than the ridiculously low price I paid (times must be tough in the TEFL world! It must be the only industry that hasn't seen ridiculous inflation lately). Anyway, I digress, it's a clean course with a fair bit of interactivity, lots of reading, some videos that aren't just a lecture but get you involved with a real class being instructed, and lots of that kind of thing. I'm still in shock that I was able to download my cert without having to pay anything else (I'll be honest, I half expected a pop-up, but nope). I checked the verify link 24 hours later since it said to give it some time to get populated, and it worked. If I sound overly positive, that's because I am! Keep expectations reigned in though - it's not without fault but it is the best course I could find on the market for my cashflow.

One of the Best Decisions I’ve Made as an Educator

August 19, 2026Rachael Thomas-Jeremiah - Trinidad & Tobago

Completing the 30-Hour TEFL Course to Become an Online English Teacher with Premier TEFL has been one of the best professional decisions I have made. The course was practical, engaging, and gave me valuable insight into teaching English effectively in an online environment. I especially appreciated the guidance from Tara Bourke, whose knowledge and practical approach made the course both informative and enjoyable. The training provided useful strategies for lesson planning, engaging students virtually, adapting lessons to different learning styles, and creating a positive online learning experience. What makes this course particularly meaningful to me is the opportunities it has opened up. It has allowed me to connect with and work with students from different countries and backgrounds, giving me the opportunity to broaden my teaching experience and learn from learners around the world. Looking back, I can honestly say that I am a better teacher because of this course. It has expanded my skills, strengthened my confidence, and encouraged me to think more creatively about how I teach and connect with students. The flexibility of the course was also a major advantage, allowing me to complete it at my own pace while balancing my other responsibilities. I am genuinely grateful for the opportunities that came from taking this course, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in online English teaching. It wasn't simply another certification—it opened doors, expanded my horizons, and made me a more confident and well-rounded educator.

Love South Korea, Love Korea Gapyear.

August 19, 2026Jodie * - Germany

Hi~ I’m Jodie from Germany, and my love for K-pop is what first led me to Korea. I’m a huge fan of BTS, and I also love Mamamoo and Seventeen. Because of them, I dreamed of visiting Korea one day—not just as a tourist, but to truly experience everyday life in this country. Through the Korea Gap Year program, I had the chance to work as an intern at a Korean cosmetics company, and it became one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. My time as an intern was both fun and incredibly rewarding. Everyone I worked with was kind and welcoming, which helped me feel comfortable from the very beginning. I learned so much about Korean cosmetics—how they are developed, marketed, and used by people in Korea. I even found skincare products that were perfect for my own skin. Through this experience, I finally understood why Korean beauty products are loved all over the world. What made this experience even better was the thoughtful support from Korea Gap Year. They took great care of everything in advance and always made sure I was doing well. They also recommended places to visit and fun activities to try, which helped me enjoy my time in Korea beyond work. Thanks to their guidance, I was able to explore the country with confidence and curiosity. My time in Korea was truly, deeply happy. Every day was filled with excitement, learning, and warm memories. Korea now feels like a place close to my heart, not just a destination on a map. One day, I hope to return again with my friends and family!

An Unforgettable Pre-Med Journey in Spain

August 19, 2026Kayla S - United States

My experience with GlobalEd Abroad’s 2+2 Pre-Med Internship + PHTLS Certification in Spain was an incredible opportunity to combine professional healthcare experience, international education, and cultural immersion. The program gave me the chance to gain valuable exposure to the medical field while experiencing what it is like to live and learn in Spain. The combination of the Pre-Med internship and PHTLS certification made the experience especially unique, allowing me to develop both professionally and personally. What stood out most was the support and organization from the GlobalEd Abroad team. From the moment the program began, I felt supported throughout the experience. The staff was approachable, helpful, and genuinely committed to making sure students had a meaningful experience both inside and outside of their internships. Living in Spain also added a completely different dimension to the program. Being immersed in a new culture, navigating daily life in another country, and meeting people from different backgrounds made the experience unforgettable. Overall, I would highly recommend the GlobalEd Abroad 2+2 Pre-Med Internship + PHTLS Certification in Spain to students looking for hands-on international experience, professional development, and the opportunity to grow outside of their comfort zone. It was a rewarding experience that I will carry with me long after the program ended.

I feel more prepared

August 19, 2026Tanasia LaBrew - United States

After doing a six-month internship earned through ArtBound, I feel more prepared for the type of work in my industry. Before my start date, I did the ABI Academy, which helped build my interview skills, improve my resume, and helped me understand how the choices I made for my portfolio could affect the quality of opportunities I am offered. During the duration of my internship, I was in constant contact with the program coordinators, who were able to guide me during a period of time when I was having communication issues with my boss at Asia Contemporary Art Forum. My role was web/media designer and curatorial fellow; however, I wore many hats while doing my internship. I feel that I was able to truly learn how to work in a small team, how to take charge and make decisions, and improve my institutional style writing. Though I didn't get to participate in most of the intern gatherings during my internship program, I like that I will always have a community to engage with thanks to ArtBound, now that I am an ABI Alumni.

Best summer ever

August 19, 2026Bryce Brenkus - United States

The internship experience in Barcelona was absolutely amazing both in the office and out of the office. Our local host Isabel was amazing when getting us acclimated to the city, as well as providing reccomendations and ensuring our safety. On top of that, her community events that she planned for our group were so much fun whether it was a day trip to the beach, going to dinner, or attractions like park guell. The internship on the other hand was a great work experience, and I learned so much about working abroad.

My summer in July

August 19, 2026Bettina Nagy - Hungary

It was such an unique experience what I cannot describe in words correctly! I'm so glad I applied in the end even though I was so scared to do this alone. I've met incredible people, I've got to know a new culture and places with a lot of fun and adventures. I've never imagined I'll ever take care of so tiny and unique creatures, but I couldn't imagine a better place to do so. The local people were so kind and helpful. If you had any question they gladly answered and tried to help if they needed to. So everything was so awesome in overall. The accommodation, the food, the programs, everything. I'll never forget the unlimited pineapple and watermelon at dinner, and gossiping, of course. Thank you that I could be a part of this amazing program!

Great time!

August 19, 2026Madison Anderson - United States

I had a great time in Berlin! I got to experience living on my own for the first time in a brand new city. Learn how to use public transportation, save money, take care of myself, and learn new things from my internship.

Volunteering at a Dog Shelter

August 19, 2026Stuart Pester - United Kingdom

This was a memorable and worthy experience. Staying with a local family, getting a taste of how a Guatemalan family live and the type of food they eat. Working at the dog shelter was a very rewarding experience and fun especially with the puppies. It’s hard not to fall in love with the dogs. Definitely will be doing this again.

The Best 4 Months of My Life

August 19, 2026Courtney Goldner - United States

I genuinely had the best study abroad experience through SAI in Florence. I was able to live with 3 of my best friends and we loved our apartment so much! Although we weren't right in the city center by thew duomo, we found that we loved being across the river as we were more immersed in the culture by being in a neighborhood filled with locals. Outside of our housing and classes, we had so many opportunities to do different activities whether it was a cooking class or a gold leafing class. I could not recommend this experience enough!

A life-changing experience.

August 19, 2026Sergio Espinoza - United States

As a first-generation, Mexican American college student, I had the opportunity to challenge myself, academically and personally, in a place I never been. I do not regret this decision at all. I took every opportunity that I was presented with; social media ambassador, internship at a human rights commission, and most importantly, building relationships.

LTL Beihai Amazing Learning Environment!

August 19, 2026Cesar Aguilar - United States

My daughter and I had the privilege of talking an entry level Mandarin class for two weeks in July of 2026. Our teacher, Heather, was fun, patient, and had professional teaching skills! The director of the Beihai location, Savannah, was super helpful in arranging two separate wonderful accommodations for the two of us. Our respective host families were friendly, caring, and prepared delicious food for us. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and support. We are looking forward to coming back in the near future and continue our Mandarin language and culture journey! Thanks again to everyone involved who helped us have an unforgettable time in Beihai! With love❤️ Nayra and Cesar

This experience changed my life for the best!

August 19, 2026Jimena Amaro Cordova - United States

My internship at the Salesian Institute Youth Projects pushed me far beyond what I expected, taking me from supporting program logistics to independently running counseling sessions and managing my own client caseload within just a few months. I was trusted with real responsibility early on, from leading a group of 45 adult learners on my own to adapting a therapeutic intervention on short notice for an urgent client referral, and that trust taught me more about clinical work and resilience than I could have learned in a classroom. This experience confirmed that clinical psychology, particularly cross-cultural and community-based care, is exactly the path I want to pursue.

Experience in the Beauty Industry

August 19, 2026Nora * - Canada

I always wanted to experience what it would be like to work in the beauty industry. This internship gave me the opportunity to explore my interests and learn more about how the industry works behind. I was able to ask questions, discover things I was curious about, and gain real insights from the team. It was exciting to see how ideas become actual products and how much effort goes into creating beauty trends and experiences. This experience helped me better understand the industry and gave me valuable knowledge and confidence for my future. I’m truly grateful for this opportunity and would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in beauty, creativity, and gaining practical experience in an international environment.
