Volunteering with IVHQ: Highly Recommended

January 21, 2026Nicole M - Canada

My experience with IVHQ from the initial application process to returning home, was nothing short of exceptional. I discovered IVHQ through a simple Google search and, after researching their credibility and trustworthiness, decided to move forward. From that point on, every step of the process was seamless, transparent, and incredibly well-supported. I volunteered in Jamaica in December 2025, and leading up to my departure from Canada, my two main contacts were Louise and Lina. They were absolutely amazing. Their responsiveness was outstanding (once I remembered to factor in the time zone difference...lol). Whenever I needed information, clarification, or documentation, it was provided within minutes. Communication was always clear, straightforward, and professional, with well-defined next steps at every stage. Everything I experienced aligned exactly with what was outlined on the IVHQ website there were no surprises, only reassurance. No question ever felt too small, and the level of guidance and support I received throughout the entire process was truly appreciated. Louise and Lina exemplify professionalism, and IVHQ is incredibly fortunate to have them on their team. I am deeply grateful for the support I received and would highly recommend IVHQ to anyone looking to volunteer anywhere in the world. My experience was flawless from start to finish. Thank you so much.

Three months of meaningful work in a tropical paradise!

January 21, 2026Maxie Safdie - United States

I did my internship with RRFB in the winter of 2025, and had a wonderful experience. The team is a well-oiled machine, and welcoming to new interns. There were plenty of resources available as I got my footing, and my needs were always heard. I spent a ton of time in the water, and learned so much about the nonprofit coral restoration industry.

Great experience

My internship at Go Palestine was truly a great experience. I did not only learn a lot about the human rights situation, but also about the Palestinian culture in general. Everybody at Go Palestine was very friendly and hospitable!

Had a great time and learned a lot

January 20, 2026Eric Schmahl - Germany

I really liked the Level 5 TEFL course. It was very well structured, I had the feeling that I could learn a lot about classroom management, lesson preparation and useful content. I especially liked that there were always a lot of examples for lesson content which I can apply when teaching. 10/10 would recommend!

An International Research Experience in a Multicultural Environment

January 20, 2026Rolando Sánchez - Ecuador

My experience abroad was overall positive, mainly due to the international and multicultural environment. Being surrounded by people from many different countries allowed me to exchange ideas, perspectives, and experiences that went beyond academics. This exposure helped me broaden my worldview and understand how research and education are approached in different cultural contexts. From an academic standpoint, the experience was solid and structured, and it provided an opportunity to engage with research in an international setting. Daily life on campus was comfortable and efficient, making it easy to focus on work and interactions with others. I would recommend it particularly to students interested in experiencing research within a diverse, global community.

Thanks RRFB for this experience!

Working with RRFB has been an amazing journey. I'm extremely grateful for all the experiences I had during my three months on Bonaire, and for all the lovely coral enthusiasts I met. I learnt a lot about corals and the ecosystem. Highlights for me were seeing coral spawning for the first time and working with the coral babies in the lab. Thank you all for this amazing time!

Excellent for a English teacher assistant

January 20, 2026Ellen Wang - China

I really enjoy this 168 hour course and specially video and activity. Theory is very same to what I learn before but now I have understood the English teacher bit better and how I must help teaching grammar and vocabulary with games. Language level of teaching is sometimes quite difficult to me but I have understood most topic and idea. Thankyou.

A little over caffeinated but much more knowledgeable!

January 20, 2026Tracy Engels - United States

Everything, from course content to quick responses and very helpful feedback on assignments, was spot on and very much appreciated. The only complaint I have is the testing - most of it was easy enough to understand (although in the US we never use the word 'learnt' - that took some getting used to! Several questions seemed to have no relation to anything I had learned - for example, on one of the questions on the Unit 10 test I was completely lost. And I'm sure you know which one it was. What grammar is this phrase, and this phrase and this phrase??? I couldn't find it in my notes, took way too much time trying to figure it out and in the end just guessed, which I hate to do. But that was a small part of the classes thank goodness. I do want to thank my evaluators. They gave examples, and feedback that thoroughly explained what was expected (because especially on the first written assignment I was in the dark as to what TEFL actually wanted). This was very much appreciated and helped me understand the 'idea' of teaching much more thoroughly. So, thank you so much Ashleigh, Lisa, and Craig for your very thoughtful critiques.

GoEco is the BEST!

January 20, 2026V S - United States

I was a little uncertain about booking a volunteer trip with an organization I didn't have personal experience with, but wow! I'm thrilled I took a chance on GoEco. Their staff were incredibly communicative, helpful and supportive throughout the process - they patiently answered all my questions, guided me to a location that suited me and made sure I had all information I needed to ensure a wonderful trip. The Giant Tortoise Breeding Center volunteer experience in the Galapagos Islands was more than I could ever have imagined... filled with ideal balance of hard work, interesting learning, plenty of free time for diving/snorkeling/relaxation, connection with the local community and endless opportunities for Spanish practice. I felt supported by both GoEco and the IOI program. I'm already looking forward to my next GoEco travel opportunity.

The best experience abroad!

January 20, 2026Delaney Hook - Canada

I had the best time interning with RRFB! I gained so many new things, honed my diving skills, practiced my public speaking, and got to take on tasks both in the field and in the office! I’d go back in a heartbeat if I could.
