My time with Maximo Nivel in Quepos, Costa Rica was absolutely amazing! First of all I met some amazing people who have become really good friends of mine! The classes were also good. I had two different teachers during my month here and they were both very nice, qualified, smart and talkative - the classes being solely in Spanish has helped me improve my level a lot! Campus is very nice with open classrooms and a pool! And then lastly the atmosphere and location where this program takes place is of course incredible. Quepos is such a nice little city - the people are very friendly and open to everyone. Manuel Antonio is amazing and I feel like I’ve been living a dream. Thank you!

My wife and I came for 3 weeks, starting with a little Spanish, and doing 4 hours class, 2 hours semi private per day. Great teachers (all with teaching certificates), enthusiastic and they know their stuff. We learned so much, especially improving listening skills. Their workbook and class structure is top notch. Speaking Spanish well takes time, but I feel we have made great strides. The program is very professionally organized and run. The educational facilities are basic but very comfortable and inviting. Antigua is a lovely city - weather (at least in Jan/Feb) was ideal - clear and dry and mid 70's every day. Nice restaurants everywhere. The home stay is a little bit of a crap shoot. Our hostess was wonderful, the food basic but fine, easily walkable to the school, however the accommodations somewhat sparse by our standards - but we did fine for 3 weeks. Others we talked to had better and worse experience. Maximo will work with you to find something different if things don't work out - they are great. Also have a doctor that can come to the school - both my wife and I had need. Inexpensive and so helpful to get through a couple of little infections. All in all, I really recommend Maximo Nivel. Should we decide we need more schooling, we will be back.

Had a great time at Maximo Nivel. With very nice and engaged teachers. A lot of fun activities besides the class. My spanish improved a lot in my 2 weeks. Highly recommend that school and Antigua is a wonderful place to travel.
