Work in Canada on your gap year or career break, and fund an awesome social life and further travels. If you have the 'work hard, play hard' attitude and love winter or adventure sports, this program could be just what you are looking for. Oyster participants are guaranteed a job, working for a hotel in the Canadian Rockies. Our winter program runs for 6 months between late November and late May, and the summer program runs between May and September. Our roles are generally entry-level hotel jobs. Typically, you can expect to work as a room attendant, cleaner, dishwasher, or clearing tables in the restaurant. If you have particular hospitality experience, other jobs may be available so make this known to us on your application. Employers in Canada have high standards so expect to work hard, be punctual, smart, and polite. In return, you will be treated and paid well. Working in Canada won't do your CV/résumé any harm either! You need to be eligible for the Canadian IEC Working Holiday Program.
