World Class Programs offers high school students the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy. Our summer program is designed for teens from all academic backgrounds who are excited about immersing themselves in Italian culture and lifestyle. This pre-college program offers various course study options, including Art History, Fine Arts, Philosophy, Photography, Architecture, Italian language, and Tuscan Cuisine. Students can choose a major course for daily focus (Monday to Friday) in the mornings for three hours. Then, they attend elective classes, each lasting two hours, three times a week in the afternoons. On weekends, they go on day trips around Italy to explore cultural differences from city to city. Locations vary yearly; previous participants have visited Cinque Terre, Siena, Pisa, and Venice!

Baret Scholars is a global gap year program that brings together a cohort of 180 high school students from around the world to journey across 7 regions (North/South America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, India, and China/Asia), over 180 days, in a semi-structured and self-guided gap year experience. This will be their best year yet. Named after Jeanne Baret, the first woman to circumnavigate the globe, Baret Scholars provides students with a comprehensive and holistic understanding of the world, paving the way for years of fulfillment and achievement. The program serves as a foundation for their future, fostering cultural literacy, a global perspective, and a desire to create a better world.

This 12-week Gap Year Semester Course is our most expansive and influential program. During the first six weeks, students travel to the UK and France, where they can explore art, architecture, food, culture, and much more. After this, they will travel to Tuscany and stay in Montepulciano, a beautiful hilltop town, for a two-week intensive Italian course. In the second six weeks, they will join other students to study on the Autumn Gap Year Course. They will travel across Italy, visiting Venice, Castelfranco, Bologna, Florence, Siena, and Rome, as well as taking day trips to San Gimignano, Verona, Naples, and Pompei. This program aims to give students the greatest experience of Italy and a better understanding of the "art world." It is an ambitious program that spread from the ancient world in Rome and Naples to the Renaissance in Florence and contemporary art in Venice. Students will learn about the works of Leonardo, appreciate Titian, and understand why Michelangelo is so significant. Students will also be introduced to dozens of other artists, read great poets from ancient and modern times, learn about rhetoric (Cicero), history, and literature, & appreciate architecture.

Experience Spain and its people in a program like no other! This 12-week adventure takes you from North to South and from East to West on different types of trains: single track covering 190 km in 5 hours and high speed covering 680 km in 5 hours! Our upcoming programs: Spring 2025 March 1st - May 24th Fall 2025 September 6th - November 29th Spain by Train is divided into three trips and three base cities: San Sebastian, Salamanca, and Granada, where you can spend a longer time. The group also stays in Camino, Madrid, and Barcelona for a week each. This program aims to help you experience Spain at a deeper level and from a different perspective. Thus, we organize activities, workshops, and projects centered around various aspects of Spanish language and culture. Examples include a weekly cooking class or activity, discussions about history and politics, fitness routines, and complete immersion through homestays. Most of our gappers come from English-speaking countries, but we welcome participants from around the globe. To be eligible for the Spain by Train program, you must be 18 or older and passionate about Spain.

Based in an 18th-century chateau in Normandy, France, Creative Semester is a 9-week multidisciplinary program that helps you think and see like an artist, connect with your peers, and grow your creativity. Through shared projects, discussions about art and artists, and moments of reflection, you’ll discover the joy of creating in community. At the heart of the program is collaboration across disciplines including film, photography, writing, studio art, and ceramics. Build skills through workshops and collaborate on projects that blend ideas and mediums. Paint a mural, create a zine, shoot a documentary, or build and fly kites on the beach, the possibilities are as open as your imagination. Each day invites experimentation, connection, and reflection, drawing inspiration from the landscapes, culture, and creative spirit of Normandy. The program includes excursions including the D-Day Landing Sites, medieval Bayeux and Mont-Saint-Michel, a 7-day trip to Rouen, and a 5-day trip to Paris. It is taught entirely in English.
