This volunteer trip will put you in the heart of South Africa’s gorgeous Eastern Cape. It’ll be your job to track the movements of wild herds across a 6,000-hectare private game reserve on an open-top safari! You’ll make a meaningful impact by ensuring that the Big 5 will be around to hunt—with cameras, of course—for many generations! Make lifelong friends and memories while doing meaningful work. Get up close and personal with some amazing animals in a program that includes everything you can think of!

Dive into a captivating experience for all wildlife lovers! This program is open to volunteers and interns. The placement is in a wildlife sanctuary in the Greater Kruger National Park in South Africa. You will accompany female rangers in their work against poaching, help the team monitor the lives of animals and plants, and participate in all the tasks in the reserve. You will also support research projects. You will live in a bush camp with other volunteers in the middle of nature. During your stay, you will join the team members of the reserve and the anti-poaching unit on their daily patrols for 5-6 days per week. You will spend most of your time outdoors and will have the opportunity to encounter and observe animals in their natural habitat. Your daily tasks vary depending on how long you stay and the team's daily priorities. Your daily tasks include: - Clearing roads, repairing signs, etc. - Removing invasive plant species - Removing traps from poachers - Monitoring of animal and plant populations - Joining research activities and collecting data Accommodation: You will live in a simple rustic chalet in a bush camp in the middle of the game reserve.

Wildlife Conservation Experience (WCE) is a 21-day program divided into 3 main sections: conservation, participation, and sightseeing. Conservation: The program focuses largely on conservation, wherein students acquire in-depth knowledge through several activities. These include targeted informal lectures, external courses from professional organizations, and physical work at the Centre.
