Hello, my name is Elisabeth and I am from California and I study at San Diego State University. I picked this program because in the future I want to become either a nurse, surgeon or a plastic surgeon, which was solidified while doing this program. I got to witness tons of surgeries in the operating room and it really helped me along the decision of what I want to do when I am older, which is something I’ve been pondering for a little bit. With Cerca Abroad, they’ve been really responsive, so quick and great at communicating for anything I need- from directions to any issues, if there was anything with the apartment. Athens overall has been a great experience. There’s so much to do here and I would definitely recommend doing this program to anyone who is interested in healthcare. It’s extremely flexible and will help you figure out your decision on what you want to do in the future.

I took the Level 5 TEFL course in advance of travel plans so that I could get acclimated to teaching English as a 2nd language first. I completed the course in 2 months and found it to be enlightening and well organized. The reference material is generous and I look forward to applying what I learned soon.

Australia gave me a lot of completely different experiences. I got to work in rural Australia, travel along the east coast with my best friend, learn how to surf at a surf camp, see Uluru, and meet people from around the world. One of the things I liked most was that there was always something else to experience. Australia is huge, and the farm was only one chapter of the trip. Once I started travelling, every place felt different. Some of my best memories came from simply saying yes when an opportunity came up.

My Costa Rica Surf and Service trip with Travel for Teens was an unforgettable experience! Throughout the trip, we had the opportunity to give back to the local community by volunteering at a school, planting, and participating in a beach cleanup. We also got to experience so many amazing adventures, including ziplining, hiking, and surfing. One of my favorite parts was how much I improved at surfing throughout the trip. It was so rewarding to see my progress and gain confidence in the water! On top of everything, we tried so much delicious local food and got to experience Costa Rica's culture in such a fun and meaningful way. This trip made me fall in love with traveling with Travel for Teens, and I am already signed up for a Greece and Italy Service trip that I am so excited for! I can't wait to explore new places, meet new people, give back to different communities, and make even more unforgettable memories. My Costa Rica trip was such an incredible experience, and I would recommend Travel for Teens to anyone looking for an adventure that combines service, culture, and fun!

I chose AIFS Abroad for my semester in London because I wanted to experience living in a new country while continuing my education, and I’m so glad I did. The staff were incredibly helpful and supportive, which made adjusting to life in a new city much easier. The housing accommodations were also a great part of the experience and gave me a place to feel comfortable while living abroad. Having an Oyster card to use on the Tube made it so easy to get around London and explore different neighborhoods, landmarks, and attractions. The Eurail pass was another great benefit because it gave me the opportunity to travel and experience even more while studying abroad. One of my favorite parts of the program was getting to explore London, visit museums and landmarks, and experience everyday life in a different country. I also made amazing friendships and became more independent and confident navigating new places. As a marketing and management student, studying abroad gave me a new perspective on different cultures and helped me grow both personally and professionally. Between the supportive staff, housing, transportation benefits, and opportunities to explore, AIFS made my experience really memorable. I would definitely recommend AIFS Abroad to anyone looking to study abroad, make new friends, and get the most out of their time in another country!

This trip was such a good experience! Everyday we would have a group activity and we would also get free time which was nice because we got to explore around each city. All of the accommodations were really nice and clean. The meals were very flexible and the restaurants were nice and had some good variety. Overall I’d say this trip was amazing and if you’re considering going you should!

Studying abroad in Madrid was a fever dream. I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. I lived with a host family, and they were the sweetest people ever. They cooked delicious meals for me and made me feel like part of their family. At the IES center, the faculty and staff were so accommodating and willing to help and support me as much as possible. When I was hospitalized, someone from IES came to visit me at the hospital, and my host family stayed with me. This shows how much they truly care about their students and how committed they are to supporting them. They also have an emergency line, which made me feel even safer. Overall, I felt safe, welcomed, and supported, and I was able to fully immerse myself academically and culturally.

The Croatia island hopping trip for travel for teens was incredible! I loved spending a week living on the boat. Not only did it bring everyone to get supper close it also allowed us to go to so many different islands. It was amazing to have slow morons on the boat but in the afternoon or evening being able to explore a new town I learned so much.

I've been a traveling Emergency Nurse for 6 years and it has been a goal of mine to volunteer in Africa for a while now. I looked at several companies that offer volunteering services but MediTrip by far exceeded all the other options. MediTrip was more than patient and helpful answering all my questions from day one. They were super helpful with the application process. They placed me in excellent housing where I got my own bedroom and bathroom with a staff member in the house for assistance at all times. They helped me with the orientation process at the hospital as well. I got to come volunteer during the daytime and saw other ways of doing medical procedures than they are done in the United States. It truly help broaden my mind with emergency medicine when materials aren't available. I would 100% recommend MediTrip not just in Tanzania but anywhere they operate their services.

I spent 4 months in China with Masons Au Pair agency and honestly it passed sooo fast. One minute I was unpacking and the next I was trying to squeeze everything in my suitcase. (I bought a loot of stuff on Taobao) My host kid taught me a thing or two about patience and negotiating skills. we played football and hide-and-seek literally everyday but he's a good boy and I'm happy I was his Au Pair. My Chinese is still in progress but my chopstick skills now is perfect haha Masons team was always around when I needed a hand, which made everything feel a lot less overwhelming. I left with new friends, great memories, and a suitcase that really tested the airline’s weight limit but what can we do. Thanks to Masons agency for such a great adventure, I definitely will come back to see you guys!

This past summer I went on Travel for Teen’s London, Paris, French Riviera, and Barcelona trip! I went with around 14 other teens who were all super nice!! On this trip we participated in fun activities like a bike tour of Paris, the beach, shopping, climbing the Eiffel Tower, visiting a perfume factory and more. We also had some freedom to choose what we would like to do and had free time on our own within safe perimeters. The locations we ate at had a variety of food options and we also visited different restaurants that offered a variety of cuisines like Indian and traditional English food! It was so much fun!

My semester abroad in Madrid with AIFS was genuinely one of the most memorable experiences of my life, and I would recommend the program to anyone considering studying abroad! From the beginning, the experience was well organized, and I felt supported throughout my time in Spain. Looking back, I am so grateful I chose AIFS because my semester became so much more than just an opportunity to study in another country. AIFS also offered a great variety of activities that allowed us to experience Spanish culture firsthand. These included tapas dinners, cooking sessions, and trips to beautiful cities like Granada, Toledo, and Segovia. These experiences gave us the opportunity to explore beyond Madrid while creating lasting memories with other students. I would recommend AIFS in a heartbeat! If you are nervous about taking the leap, I encourage you to go for it. My semester in Madrid gave me lifelong friendships, unforgettable memories, and personal growth that I will carry with me long after returning home. I would do it all over again without hesitation!

The summer of 2026 was my first time adventuring abroad through Travel For Teens. I really enjoyed my counselor’s enthusiasm upon arrival. Meeting new people my age from different parts of the world is always so awkward or silent at first, but getting to know them as the days go by makes me realize how fun it is to get to know others. My Greece and Italy trip was so fun. I played Mamma Mia music because I was in Greece and everybody joined in which is so cool. I got to see so much history, and the views were incredible. I really enjoyed my time and that’s why I’ll be going to another country using Travel For Teens!

From when I first started the trip everyone was so helpful I got off and on flights easily and we made it to maui from then on the community was great the staff and friends I made along the way I have to say In my group of people we never got into fights and we did all the excursions together no matter the groups even if one of my closets friends were in them and when I had trouble with my roomate in california the counslers were so nice and they helped me get my own room and fixed my problemes resulting in one of the best trips of my life
