Wonderful Experience
February 27, 2026Emily Miller - United StatesProvider: MAXIMO NIVEL
Program: Top-Rated Volunteer Abroad Programs in Latin America
I am doing an 8-week medical internship in Cusco, Peru with Maximo Nivel. I have had an amazing time so far. My host family and accommodations have been incredible! When I was sick, my host mom even made me some chicken soup and helped me see a doctor. I have learned so much at my placement in a local hospital. The staff and nurses have been extremely welcoming, and I have had the opportunity to assist in intensive medical procedures. This experience has definitely helped prepare me to begin medical school, and serve Spanish patients at home. Overall, I have felt very supported by this program and the staff, and would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Working with the best

Program: TEFL Certification in Peru with Job Placement Guarantee
After completing several classes of Spanish throughout college, I am very much inspired to teach English to others the same way my Spanish professor had to me. I will never forget how happy and excited she was to cram Spanish in our brains everyday. She made learning a new language so fun and easy. When it comes to my experience training with MAximo Nivel, I believe this has got to be one of the best places to begin or continue a teaching career in all of Latin America. The team here in Maximo are all on the same wave length of people who enjoy the connection and share the same values of teaching. Furthermore, the organization´s layout for teaching classes, what they recommend their teachers to do and what their goal criteria is attuned towards maximum freedom for teachers to use their creativity and custom interaction, and they employ all the students in every level of class to practice the language as much as they can on their own even within the class. By far I would recommend anyone to work here, as I believe it is an incredibly unique and positive company in itself along with the people, students and teachers.
All round very good and eye-opening

Program: Accredited 120-Hour TEFL/TESOL Course for $29 (Sale Price)
I've been teaching for a few years and figured I knew most of this stuff, so when admin told me the new boss wanted all teachers to have TEFLs, I sneered. But it turns out there was a lot I didn't actually know. Don't get me wrong, lots of this stuff I've been doing since a few months in, but there were many parts I had no idea about and others that I was kind of doing but not fully committed (as is always the case when you have a partial idea but no evidence to back it up). Considering I was forced to do a course, I'm glad I picked this one and will recommend it to my colleagues.

A Life-Changing Experience for a Mature Learner
February 26, 2026Christopher Thompson - United StatesProvider: LTL Language School
As a 63-year-old who has been studying Mandarin for several years, I can confidently say that my time at LTL Taipei was the most rewarding chapter of my language journey. From my first contact through my final departure, the staff and faculty exceeded my expectations. They provided incredible support in arranging my program and navigating daily life in Taiwan. The environment is genuinely friendly and welcoming to students of all ages. The curriculum, which combined small group classes with 1-on-1 instruction, gave me the perfect mix of social motivation and focused practice for my speaking and listening skills. Additionally, my homestay experience was a highlight; it offered deep cultural immersion with people who truly felt like family. I highly recommend LTL Taipei to anyone seeking a complete and supportive learning experience.
So happy to hear you've had a great experience learning Chinese in Taipei with us, Christopher :) It's been a pleasure having you around and we hope you come back again. Thanks again for the lovely words. LTL Team

Great Experience

Very rewarding volunteering experience. I developed hands-on work skills which were challenging and educational. Beyond the labor, these projects allow you to explore the city from a different perspective, and sharing with the community brings very enjoyable moments.

I am Adam I am from the United States and I am here in Greece for this Engineering program. This program is a cool opportunity to both travel and to taking an engineering internship and specifically in drone engineering which I am particularly interested. I got to see the end of the SMARTSEA program for underwater drones and it was very cool to go to the port and actually launch drones. I got to fly an air drone and video that while happening. On this side of the planet its definitely warm, Thessaloniki I a very cool city and I never seen a city so live at 2am at night

So much great instruction and practice

I enjoyed my time with Nicole and Betsy to no end. Having this space to learn with like-minded people across the US and Canada was amazing. I feel confident that I can teach and assist in language learning classrooms even as a newbie! Having the practical experience of teaching a real student and see the learning occur made me satisfied and helped me know this was the right program for me!
My time at LTL Seoul. Best experience ever
February 26, 2026Lydia Hernandez - United StatesProvider: LTL Language School
I have been studying at LTL Seoul for a long time now (over 4 months now and counting) and it has truly become one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. And I still have two months left! When I first came here, I was both excited and nervous. Starting a new language in a different country is never easy, especially considering I’m above the average age of a typical student! However, from the very beginning, I felt welcomed and supported by everyone around me including the team, the teachers and my fellow students. One of the best parts of this experience has been the friendships I made. I met so many international people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. German, fellow Americans, British, Dutch, German, Italian. LTL has every nationality you can imagine. Even though we all spoke different native languages, we shared the same goal. Learning Korean and understanding Korean culture more deeply. Through studying together, practicing conversations, and truggling with difficult grammar, we became close friends. These friendships mean so much to me, and I believe they will last for a long time. I’ve also enjoyed taking salsa dance lessons whilst in Seoul and making friends through that too. It’s also another place to practice my Korean! Korean can be quite difficult. The pronunciation, grammar structure, and honorific expressions require a lot of patience and practice. Sometimes I felt that memorizing vocabulary and understanding new concepts was not easy. There were moments when I doubted myself and wondered if I could really improve. But I kept reminding myself that learning has no age limit. I am still learning, still making mistakes, and still growing every day. The teachers at LTL Seoul are truly wonderful. They are patient, kind, and professional. They always encourage us, no matter our level. They explain difficult points clearly and create a comfortable atmosphere in class so that we are not afraid to speak. Because of them, I gained confidence and motivation to continue studying. Their support made a huge difference in my journey. I studied with a few teachers including Jennifer, Yunjeong, Jeehyun and Minji. I also love how LTL Korea allows us to experience the culture and the language in tandem. Through various activities and conversations, I learned more about Korean traditions, daily life, and social manners. It helped me understand Korea in a deeper and more personal way. We’ve done so many things like travel the city, partake in kimchi or mandu (dumpling) making, played Korean games, gone to Korean restaurants etc. The staff also take students to lunch every week which is a great plus especially when you are new and unfamiliar with the language and what to eat! I really like it here and will definitely come back again. This place is more than just a school; it feels like a second home to me. Special thanks to Manuel, Max, Hailee, Lio, and Violet for the laughter, friendship, and unforgettable memories. And my deepest gratitude to my teachers for their dedication and warm hearts. You all made this experience truly special, and I will always cherish the time I spent here forever.
Lydia, we're so happy you've had the best time with us in Seoul. You've truly become a part of the furniture here and we've loved seeing you blossom with your Korean skills! We hope you enjoy the final weeks of your course as much as the first half, and let's keep improving together!! Thanks so much for sharing such a beautiful story at LTL Seoul :) Best wishes, LTL Team
What a fantastic opportunity!

All of my preconceived notions about this course were completely off base. Not only did I have two excellent teachers to guide me through the course, I had an amazing community of peers to join me through this journey. I feel as though this course gave me the resources, knowledge and confidence to succeed as a teacher, and to have a pathway to chase my dreams. The support system you find through ITA is incredible and gives you the reassurance you need to know you are not alone in this. I am very thankful I was apart of this course and would highly recommend to absolutely anyone looking for a way to change their mind, career and future.
