It was all worth it!

March 05, 2026Ava Bach - United States

The process of coming to London was quite difficult and caused a fair amount of stress. While this wasn’t entirely the Intern Group’s fault, I do wish I had been given more time for the visa application and sponsorship process. By the time I received my sponsorship number after being connected with the visa company, it was already very close to the latest possible appointment I could get for my work visa. Having even an extra month for this process would make a significant difference and help reduce a lot of the stress involved. I absolutely love London and have been very happy with my overall experience here. My main concerns were that the accommodation was not exactly as it had been described during the acceptance stage, and that my internship workload was heavier than I expected for an unpaid role. The position felt closer to what would normally be considered a paid internship. However, I understand that this was the first time my placement organisation had worked with the Intern Group, so I recognise that this may have contributed to the situation. One of the highlights of this experience has been the support from Peach and Alex. They have both been incredible throughout the program. Alex is extremely friendly and approachable, and Peach is very knowledgeable and informative. Together they make a fantastic team. They have done a wonderful job making everyone feel welcome, and every question I’ve had since arriving in London has been answered quickly and thoughtfully. I feel very lucky to have had them as my advisors during this experience. Overall, my experience has been truly great, and I’m very sad to be leaving. Although there were definitely stressful moments before arriving and at times during the internship, I would not trade this experience for anything. It has been incredibly valuable both personally and professionally.

Simply incredible

March 05, 2026Seb W - United Kingdom

I had an incredible experience with the intern group in London. From the very beginning, the team made me feel genuinely welcomed and supported, which made settling into a new city so much easier. The entire program was extremely well organised and clearly focused on helping interns get the most out of both their professional and personal experience. A special thank you has to go to Peach and Alex. They went above and beyond to make sure I had the best possible experience. They were always approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping me make meaningful progress in my career. Whether it was offering advice, organising opportunities, or simply checking in to make sure everything was going well, they made a huge difference to my time in the program. Because of them, I not only gained valuable professional experience, but I also truly fell in love with London. Their enthusiasm for the city and the community they built around the interns made the entire experience unforgettable. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to develop their career while experiencing life in one of the most exciting cities in the world. Thanks to Peach, Alex, and the whole team, my time in London is something I will always be grateful for. 🌍✨

Best Gap Year I Could've Asked For

March 05, 2026Dora Rubin - United States

While on my Dragons program, I learned not only about the world around me and new places and people, but I also gained confidence in myself. My program had a focus on cultural immersion and understanding how Morocco and Spain are connected. This was very interesting to learn about, and we did this via language lessons, homestays, and meeting local people. Overall, I realized that the world is much more interconnected than I thought, and I have been inspired to continue traveling and to immerse myself in different cultures intentionally. Luckily, I have also found a global community that is like-minded through Where There Be Dragons, and I feel that after my program, I have a whole new world of opportunities available to me.

An experience I’ll never forget

March 04, 2026Fiona Golding - United Kingdom

My week in Zimbabwe on the horse project was nothing short of incredible… short but so, so sweet. One week honestly wasn’t long enough; I’d recommend at least 2–3 weeks to truly soak it all in. Working alongside such amazing people made it even more special. Skye and Ted were the dream team - a wonderful duo who made sure every volunteer was involved in the care, the daily jobs, and the full experience. The variety of activities each day kept things exciting, and my confidence grew, whilst doing XC, more than I expected. I even got to try PoloX, which I absolutely loved. Seeing the safari animals up close was surreal such a special experience and I’ll never forget everyone going out of their way to make sure I saw a giraffe before I left. The evenings were just as memorable, especially the scavenger hunt and spontaneously jumping into the pool fully clothed (maybe not the wisest choice the night before a flight!). Missing the horses, the people, and the feeling of being there. I’ll cherish that time forever. I truly hope one day I’ll be back to make even more memories.

Voices from Hebron to Masafer Yatta

March 04, 2026Avery Whitmore - United States

It was a powerful and eye opening experience for me. It helped me understand the reality of daily life in the West Bank beyond what I had read in the news. In Hebron and Halhul, we met inspiring activists and local organizations working in human rights and community support. Listening to their stories made the situation feel very real and personal. One of the most impactful visits was to Masafer Yatta, where I saw the threats families face from nearby settlers. It was difficult to witness, but important to see the reality on the ground. This internship gave me deeper knowledge, perspective, and respect for the resilience of the Palestinian people. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to understand the conflict from a human perspective.

LTL Chengdu - Highly Recommend!

March 04, 2026Bruce Floberg - United States

I have been studying at LTL Chengdu for 6 weeks. I am very happy with my decision to choose LTL as my language learning school and Chengdu as the location. My teachers are Fang Ying and Ella. Both are great! It has been very helpful to me to have different teachers with different teaching styles and different teaching voices. When I arrived at LTL Chengdu my Chinese level was between HSK 3 and 4. I think my reading, listening and speaking abilities have all improved during my time here.

High Quality Class !

March 04, 2026George Mulet - United States

Helpful teachers with clear explanations for 1-on-1 classes. Delightful service and help from consultants about insight of the course and inquiry of living in China. Meanwhile, I also found the price to be very competitive.

Teaching English in Manuel Antonio

March 03, 2026Brigitte Lachance - Canada

My volunteer experience with IVHQ in Manuel Antonio was fabulous. As a young retireree, my goal is to travel with a purpose and this experience was what I hoped for. I felt that IVHQ prepared me well to go to a developing country and the warm and respectful welcome of the Costaricains exceeded my expectations. Pura Vida!

Architecture internship

March 03, 2026Josefa Vergara - Chile

My experience with The Intern Group in Madrid fully met my expectations, and I am leaving the city incredibly happy and grateful for everything I experienced. From a professional perspective, as an architecture student, one of my main concerns was finding an internship that truly matched my field of study. The Intern Group successfully placed me in a company that was well aligned with my academic background and professional interests. The company was relatively small, which, in my opinion, turned out to be a great advantage. On a daily basis, I received very personalized feedback on my work, and the work environment felt close and supportive. I never felt like “just another intern,” but rather like a valued member of the team. Regarding the language aspect, it was not a problem for me since Spanish is my first language and my internship was conducted in Spanish. However, the social side of the program was mainly in English, as interns come from all over the world. This actually became a great opportunity for me to practice and improve my English in a very natural way, which I truly appreciated. As for the accommodation, it was very good overall. The location was really good, well connected to public transportation and conveniently situated. One important thing to consider is that you may share the apartment not only with other interns from The Intern Group, but also with external tenants. If you are not used to living with people you don’t know, this is something to keep in mind. That being said, in my personal experience, living with other people was very positive. Living with other interns from the program also created a sense of community and support, it felt reassuring to have people going through the same experience under the same roof. Socially, I would say this is one of the strongest aspects of the program. There were always activities organized throughout the week, which made it very easy to meet other interns. I am leaving Madrid with great friendships and connections with people from all over the world, which is something I truly value. In conclusion, this is a very complete experience in all aspects, professional, personal, and social. I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering doing an international internship. It has been an enriching experience that I will always look back on with appreciation.
